These are the same steps to replace the ring on the USA Dyson SV30. This was very helpful. Mine is still under warranty, so I will have the Dyson repair center replace the part.

Definitely doesn't come off that easy. Used a flathead screwdriver to push the hooks in and then twisted it. If I'd just tried to do it their way I'd have broke the bin assembly before it came off

Useless unless you know beforehand the battery model number.

Or…you could just cut the plug off…

The switch doesn’t seem to work. I put the battery in and it just turns on. Seems like something is pressing the plunger switch on the battery.

The method to remove/replace the lid shown on the video is misleading. I exerted a fair amount of force, and it didn't come out. I had to use pliers to press on the hooks in order to remove it.

So it worked and it was a lot of work 😵‍💫but couldn’t have done it w/o this video. Also, after I was done, found another replacement cover that has a retrofit clip so it separates, slides over and you’re done. Sheesh! Wish I would’ve found that 1st. Regardless, with this kit from Amz and the QR code to this video inside the box was able to get it done. 😅 On to the next. Average Joe for the win! 🏆
