The water is not so deep that near the shore, that makes it a bit more interesting.

Yes, the Nitro is much easier to drive. Haha, no he is actually there all the time, you just can't see him.

For me it's a must to have gloves this time of year, by now we have only 4 degrees some mornings.

I have thought about it but never really explored what it would take to do that, maybe I could. In a way the small rudder makes it more interesting to wake surf in that I have to compensate with tilting the body...:)

Hm, I didn't even know about the 480, I would love to try it. Well, the Club 560 is heavy so it's not as easy to drive forward as the Nitro 600. But it's a very stable boat, not a worry to tip over, would be perfect in your waters...😎

😂haha, I had to fasten the camera so close to my back, it's impossible to get it to stick further back on this ski. I agree, I was surprised myself, very nice:)!

He had to let go right before. Yes it was a bit tricky to not touch him, I had to paddle all the time because I was so close to the center of the wake. He had a much easier ride, not many strokes there😂. It was great fun though to be three in one wake...😎

@@kayakintro Yes you can retract it by choise, from the cockpit. You're probably right, less effective so far at the back.

Haha, I don't know, didn't catch the brand😂. Here it goes the other way, I think it's still about 18, maybe 19 in the lake, but from now on it will be turning fast.

As I told our friend in the Netherlands; I was thinking of giving this film the title "Funny looking boat"...😂, gave some nice, smooth and easy waves though.

He thought it was very interesting, light and easy to turn. But probably it was an exception for him to even be in a surfski. He is very content with paddling his VKV Anita and I think he will stay with that...😊

I agree, the Viper 46 is the ski I have the most fun in. I paddled the 550 (with the old hull) a week ago, also great to paddle:)!

@@larscrantz Fun is the correct word for it. A while ago i said if i had to choose i pick the 540, but i take it back. 540 feels big, a bit as a tank. Still looking for a good surfer, think the 550 will do better because it's narrower.

@@IamNothing82there is a German guy (I think) who tested the 510-520-550 and the Viper 46. It’s on KZbin somewhere. He was measuring the speed per power given to the paddle.

@@IamNothing82 I agree, it's hard to choose, different boats for different occasions. I can't really give you an opinion on the 550 as I have only paddled the old version. But I guess it's the logical next step...😊

@@larscrantz i have the marathon rudder, but I always use the surfski rudder. Major difference! Can't you order it? Easy to replace... Have you seen my 45 sec surf on 30.08.2024? Was dying to show it to you.

@@IamNothing82 I can imagine there's a whole lot of difference between the two. As it's a club ski I don't want to mess with it, makes it a little more challenging as well😂. For some reason I hadn't got any heads-up on that film. I saw it now, impressing. As you write, I didn't think the Viper had it in her. The wave didn't look that big either but you just kept going and going...👍

Thanks, I felt a tendency to tip over at the beginning but I managed to stop it. The problem with this kayak in a wake is that the rudder really is tiny, so the paddle is almost all I've got to steer with.
