Hi, why was my comment about the collar on the ram at 11min 38sec deleted??
@sheepmountainoutfitters15 күн бұрын
@@aaronnorris3450 I’m not sure what you’re referring to, there was no comment about a collar… do you have a question about something?
@aaronnorris345015 күн бұрын
I had commented asking is it common practice to run a tracking collar on rams to find the mob for hunting in the States, as in Australia that is known as the Judas, and only done in feral pest eradication so you can continuously find the mob and dispatch of them
@aaronnorris345015 күн бұрын
The second ram walking up the gully, has an ear tag and what looks to be a tracking collar on its neck
@sheepmountainoutfitters15 күн бұрын
@@aaronnorris3450 wildlife agencies use tracking collars for a lot of species for research, especially on sheep since numbers are lower than elk or deer. We have nothing to do with the collars, we are just required to give them back to wildlife agencies when we turn in a ram.
@aaronnorris345015 күн бұрын
@@sheepmountainoutfitters well there you go! Guess that never happens here because all of our animals, deer, goats and pigs etc are all introduced species and only used to cull them. Thank you for clarifying it for me. Cheers

We still have a somewhat undiscovered area and I don't want to turn into what Montana has become. Which is unbearable. Bad for the fish and bad for the guides.
