It’s funny, only in America Latin isn’t white, yet where does Spanish and Latin people actually come from? Europe! Not Africa. Spaniards are Romanized Celts. In Spain she’d be considered Latin, or a Spaniard nor “white latina”🤣🤣🤣

I'm so confused why she said her grandfather came to the U.S. by boat. Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States since 1898. People who are born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens, so there was no need to come to the USA by boat. He could have come by plane, like all my ancestors did.

Back in the early 1900 people from the Island went to main land by boat 🚢 same as Italian and other Europeans that emigrate to the US. The first flight from SJU to NYC was in the early 1940s.

Why Americans think Latino and Hispanic are a race and have a look? So much that we have to prove and explain every Latino who doesn't look like e.g. Jennifer Lopez, e.g, a black Latino like Laz Alonso or a white Latina like Christina Aguilera or an Arab Latino like el Pana Arabe, and so. And why Americnas think all Latinos are mixed!? No, some Latinos are mixed, some are NOT mixed, and Latinos come in all races and skin colors. What do they teach in American schools!? Latino and Hispanic are ethnicities, not races, not akin color. And BTW, Latino and Hispanic are not synonymous. All Hispanics are Latinos, but not all Latinos are Hispanic. And Spanish is not the only Latino Language.

I mean the term latino/a is loose. It covers every country settled by the Spanish Empire, with varying degrees of being enmeshed with native indigenous bloodlines, culture, black slaves, and European immigration. All Latin American countries speak the same language (albeit unalike) except Brazil-They have vastly unalike weather, geography, cultures, landscapes, food, and histories. Latin America is a nebulous concept.
