What is the difference between this lens and NFD 35-70 F2.8-3.5, is the picture quality better than NFD 35-70 2.8-3.5 , because FD has the ssc logo?

Thank you for visiting. It's the same, just the mount has changed. In newFD, the s.s.c. part is omitted.

Автоматический перевод заставил много смеяться: "Армия впереди, а удача сзади", "в наше время рвота стала распространённым явлением" 🤣 Но ролик очень хороший, аригато! Только не хватило показа резкости на тестовой таблице, в центре и по краям
Brilliant video as always! Recently I acquired several Tamron adaptall-2 zoom lenses. One of them is a SP 28-105mm f3.5 , called 29A. It has a 67mm filter diameter, same macro mechanism as 28A(offers 1:4 magnification ratio too), but its first element is fixed to the zoom ring, much like 26A. I can't find any information online about 29A , do you know anything about it? By the way, you can reply to me in Japanese, I can read Japanese without problem.
@@MAKKEN888 Sure, I'll try send you some photos via email later. I don't have equipment to weight them accurately, but 29A is about as heavy as 28A, maybe a little bit heavier. Lens body diameters are pretty much the same, but 29A's length is shorter by about 1mm. I don't know if it's just my copy of 29A, but the zoom travel between 28mm and 35mm has exceptionally big friction. It feels like it is engaging a different cam, but it could also be that Tamron was trying to solve the zoom creep problem of 26A and 28A. It surely works, just that it's not really comfortable to operate.

By the wayt, the hoods of 26A and 28A( the 45FH) is also usable on 29A.
@@MAKKEN888 Judging from the fact that the connection of the first lens group to the zoom ring, and the shape of the second lens group both looks more similar to 26A, and how the minimum focus distance at wide angle side is much longer than 28A, I would expect 29A have a totally different optical design from 28A. It could be that they just can't make it into this body size. The scratches on the second group can be spotted, somebody must've dismantle this 29A before. However I've never disassemble an adaptall zoom lens , so I won't risk it this time.

The front element looks a bit bulbous, can you mount filters on this lens..?

Thank you for visiting. Attach the filter to the special hood (27FH)
This is one of the most comprehensive and interesting lens review I've ever watched.

@@MAKKEN888 Keep them going! Personally I would love to see the introduction of Tamron's all-in-one series(71A, 71D etc.). Those are their most distintive lenses, I'm pretty curious about their technicalities and execution.

Good review with some extra details I did not know. It is a very intriguing lens, Unfortunately on digital sensor camera the rendering is rather dull and despite not that bad, results need quite some postprocessing to adapt imperfections - at least my copy, which was probably opened and cleaned by somebody. It is not very consistent and reliable in that sector. Weak in strong frontal light. Macro function is still good and in general it is quite sharp. From my experience it works best for close subjects rather than landscape-like shots. Nonetheless when closed down, it is still good. Thanks for this detailed review. 面白いレビュー!おめでとう。
