Bonynge and Sutherland's genius brought so much joy to the world. Her incomparable talent will never be surpassed, and he trained and guided her throughout a long, highly successful career. We'll never see the likes of them again. Thank you, Richard, for your brilliant insight and love of the belcanto repertoire. We are all better off for it.

And P.S. I bought the book; it's magnificent. I have to put it down after a while as the beauty is overwhelming.

Just got my signed copy and I have to say that is an incredible read. There is a reality to it that grabs you by the hair and embeds you into the experience that she is shares with you. Thank you for writing it and I highly recommend this as a "must have" read and for your bookshelf.

A beautiful man. Joan was so fortunate to have Richard. The recordings seem to improve every time I listen. Such a Legacy on disc and now this Haven in Switzerland is available as a book. A must have memento. Thank you Richard Bonynge

Lovely to see him again. I actually met Richard and Dame Joan twice. She was rather reserved, but he was very pleasant and eager to converse.

Wonderful to see, and hear Richard, a decade after Dame Joan passed from this world. May he find comfort in all the memorabilia of their life together. The Chalet is lavishly decorated, literally stuffed with Richard's collectables and Dame Joan's needlepoint...as it should be.

Too bad he did not write a tell all book (or as much as possible). He might have made a fortune for his scholarship program.

haha . Yeah I don’t think the public would really want to know. Those who do realize the arrangement they had.

@@orion8835don’t say that out loud. I’ve heard stories I’ve never repeated. I just refuse to think about it. LOL.
