Im an employee for an East Coast (seasonal) franchise. Started with 1 truck in 2012 now we have 4 trucks, 2 trailers, and 2 Traaveling Tom's trucks. Key to making it from my eyes are 2 key factors 1. FLEXIBILITY - end of school and hot summer days are the busiest. We hit 90% of schools in 2 counties and do many corporate contracts (serve employee in a schedule). We also do a ton of private parties and set up and sell at sporting evevnts. Bigger festivals are hit or miss and can depend on many factors outnof your controll (poor event cordination/layout, too much competition, weather) Last minuite bookings happen often, if you are flexible and commited, you can reel in upwards of $15k in one day (with multiple trucks) 2. STAFF - Dont cheap out on labor. Your staff is the business. You can have a never-ending line for hours and you need good staff who have endurance and motivational, as well maintaining friendly and exceptional customer service. Also make sure they are a safe driver. Obviously these trucks are 6 figures. Accidents happen on the road, but a Truck down can be devestating in many ways

Did you know they are not owners? Get it right. No franchisee owns anything. They are operators. Corporate owns all buildings and equipment. Operator has zero equity.

If anyone understands the car rental business then you know that you're going to make between $1000 - $1500 a month per vehicle.....so the goal is always to add more cars, trucks, merch and other ancelary things to see profit....the most successful dealers are a full service dealer... your marketing plays a big part as well.... with your already existing and functioning business you shouldn't worry about how slow things are going to build up your dealership....itll happen... always embrace and respect the process.

Your economics don't make sense. Auntie Anne's cost of goods is less than 20% of revenues. That's better than any other food concept I'm aware of. Auntie Anne's closures are the result of mall closures. Not anything to do with the economics of an Auntie Anne's store.

It seems like if youre getting sales for out on state moves youd make more money. If someone rents a truck for $20 then drives 20 miles youre only making $8. The truck i picked up was $290 ($380 after environmental and rental tax plus insurance which the desler doesnt make any money off of ) so the dealer only made $60 from me going to a lock box picking up a truck and driving off

The couple are to be praised for their daring and honest narration of a franchisee's story. I have gone through similar experience as a famous sandwich franchise. There has to be some kind of protection for Franchisee's.

How do most of you guys still make profit? Even with the downturn of the economy and ever increasing life standards
@andrewvincent7299Ай бұрын
I don't think too highly of them. They came in and totally turned Vitamin Shoppe into a profit first corporate company. The last true big supplement company around with no competition and they have no idea how to run the company. They say the customer service sucks but pay so little that it only brings in bottle of the barrel employees. They've been riding the revitalizing wave that covid brought but it won't last forever. Unless they actually start understanding the business and start paying more to attract great employees who actually know supplements and can sell them, then there will be an eventual decline.

Personally, I would never invest in a boutique fitness franchise. They are great until the next fad hits. Just look at Curves, Cycle Bar, 9 Round and dozens more that have come and are now withering away.
