Nice setup! Are you worried about it becoming out of level while going along with it that loose? I have had some issues with that mount keeping the transducer level. May see if I can copy this setup though on my Lynx in some form or fashion to give it more stability if i tighten everything down.

Tightening the Ram knob down and and snapping into the roto grip keeps it pretty stationary.

Fan-BASS-Tic video! 1) Plano take notice! Having a spinnerbait (my favorite bait!) attachment is awesome. 2) Great idea to combine jig holder with other pieces. Awesome!

It’s working well but I’m really using the regular dividers more than the jig dividers. But that may change as summer progresses.

I'm looking to get one of those ram mounts very soon. Would you recommend it for a large transducer as well? Also, what exact one did you get, I think there are a couple different versions? Thanks !

Hey Andy, just now found your channel. I just bought a very similar pole this morning at Lowe’s and got it rigged up to deploy and retract from my seat. I’m hoping to test it tomorrow. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKOoZp58iN9qqM0

I also have the Amigo I got it off a FB group my wifes nieces husband was selling it so I jumped on the deal. It's a good fishing kayak I fishing up in northern Minnesota with it, I wish you would have been a bit slower going through all of the components you have added on yours, I need that rutter and those tracks I got that they are from Yak Attack. We troll for Walleyes in the lakes up north so this Kayak is not great or even good at that, yeah as mentioned it's kind of slow but I've been in slower ones, the Amigo doesn't track too good in the light wind however that most likely because I don't have the rutter on the boat yet, would I buy another one no because I'll probably never get rid of this one not unless they came out with one just like this that has a peddle drive system on it, I am going to add the yak attack tracks behind the seat and then put a long bolt that slides into the track and then put a 2x4 attached to the tracks then add a trolling motor also going to add anchor trolleys to the sides then this boat will be sweet like Trout Meat!

*_Used once so far and it was a really good experience>_**_allmy.tips/SevylorKayaks?ρ _**_ <The pump worked great for me and even though the paddles have a tendency to come apart, it's ok, since the float and you can just paddle around with the other paddle to retrieve the disconnected one. I may try some thread tape next time. The kayak was very well balanced. I didn't try to make it back into a backpack, but I don't think I would have had a problem if I had._*

Victor kayak I use the yakattack or a power pole now. Tomato stake worked ok in light breeze but didn’t hold up well in a stiff tidal current.

I'm bigger guy at 6 2 and 288, would you suggest a Diablo or should I go with a Big Rig from Jackson?
@amidd_outdoors8 жыл бұрын
Depends on your preference between the open deck like the Diablo has, or a console type cockpit that the Jacksons have. Both are great boats for bigger guys. I'd suggest demoing both. If stability is your main priority, then the Diablo probably has the edge.
@dannyhudgins95008 жыл бұрын
+Andy Middleton -Thanks man. I will have to find a demoing place in DFW.

whats the cost on the dash board?

@TheFisherbyrne8 жыл бұрын
+Andy Middleton do you need to stand on the front deck? if so does the dash get in your way?
@amidd_outdoors8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel “Pondboy” Byrne I've only stood on the hatch a couple of times just to demonstrate the stability of the Diablo. Otherwise I have no need to step past the center of the boat. I can kneel and reach into the hatch if I need to check connections for electronics, etc.

One more question, Are you happy with the location you placed yours?
@amidd_outdoors9 жыл бұрын
They are okay there but maybe not 100% ideal. I get a slight bend in the tip the way I store them, but nothing major. The way the Amigo is molded on the bow, the space is sort of limited. And I didn't want to put them on the sides.
@amidd_outdoors9 жыл бұрын
Also, I'm not using the rod butt holders that came with the kit. I hated them.

If I had it to do again I would take Nick's advice and reinforce it with a dowel as it is indeed hollow inside. Even if the core eventually rusts, it was $6. So I could have went through about a dozen before I got to the cost of a Park N Pole. That being said, the Park N Pole is pretty solid. I got it as a Christmas gift last year.
@MackinNC17 жыл бұрын
core is aluminum not a metal that will rust

@daswindler87869 жыл бұрын
Cut the top off about 1 inch and the rod is hollow. 5/8 dowel rod fits perfectly inside and boom it becomes structurally sound. Rebar might work inside too but might make it heavy.
@farmtrout667 жыл бұрын
Nick Sartin I did the same thing, glued the dowel in with Goop marine glue added a pvc T handle and put a coat of Jb weld at the tip to reinforce it . I believe it will last quite a while.
