I advise leaving the races alone unless damaged. Same with bearings. Repack, install, and adjust as per service manual. . Original symptoms seemed like improper adjustment more than anything else. Snug, but not too tight is the key.

Love the black olds!!! I do believe it's a 73 maybe a 74 couldn't get a good look at the tail lights or the grill. My favorite of the 70s era, but ultimately I would take a 68, or a 67 if it's still a big body. I had a 74 S at one point in time and it would tear the s*** up.

My pipes on the car were already ran..so I didn’t have to adjust anything…My pipes do touch a lil bit of metal from the body of the car I got it checked out it wasn’t nothing major..
