Just turned on and what do I see but one of my rarest movies , seen once and one half times , The Madusa Touch , just started now in its first five mins. I couldn't believe it and figure they must have thought it was 2 AM not 2 in the afternoon. But all the same one of Richard Burton's freaky fabulous films. Amazing stuff

Could you concentrate on TV comedy shows that have never seen an official release? I'll start you off. Full House (the British version) Thames 1985 & 1986, Bottle Boys LWT 1984 & 1985, Two Up Two Down (BBC with Su Pollard 1979) also Three Up Two Down (BBC 1980s Michael Elphick Series 3 onwards), Mog (Central TV 1985) L Is For Lester BBC 1982 with Bryan Murphy). There's tonnes more and just because they haven't been officially released doesn't make them any less entertaining and well written. Full House is especially an example of this. Written by the same people as Man About The House.

It's ironic that I can get subtitles on this clip, but not on the terrestrial TV channel.

Ive got the Kaleidoscope DVD set of this series and the remastering is excellent, although they could have used motion interpolation to give it back that "shot on videotape" look!

A lot has changed since then. It’s arriving on Freeview from today on channel 95 thanks to a “channel update”. The channel has been since added on the listings of the Tv times, tv and satellite week, and total TV guide. That’s tv is also added on this weeks tv times on the left hand corner of page seven of the listings, as it has been expanded to 88 channels on the TV Times.

Could you please show all the episodes of Bottle Boys. Series 1 was 6 episodes and Series 2 was 7 episodes. It was broadcast in 1984 & 1985. It was made by LWT originally so ITV Studios now own the rights to this programme. I could buy them all from ITV Viewer Services for £2060!! I don't think I can afford that at the moment. It's never been repeated and has never been released commercially, not even on VHS. Network Distributing probably would've got round to it but they went bust 2 years ago with jobs half done so I've heard. Another show that Forces TV broadcast once before they closed down about five years ago was all 3 series of the UK edition of Full House with Brian Capron (Richard Hillman in Coronation Street) and Christopher Strauli (Only When I Laugh). This was 1985 & 1986. This was product by Thames Television originally so Fremantle, not ITV Studios own the rights to Full House now. Bottle Boys is the one I'm really interested in though. Please reply when you've got time. Thank you, Andrew Smith

Could you try and get Bottle Boys sometime. The copyright owners are itv Studios. It's never been repeated and never been released on DVD or any format. Some episodes survive on KZbin. ITV told me the tapes are find but have yet to be digitalised apart from one episode. I don't know what for though. ITV will sell all episodes to me for £2060 on DVDs!

Wasn't it made in colour especially for the American market as they were ahead when it came to colour TV? It's a pity you don't broadcast a HD signal. The Blu-ray is even more amazing. Is this sourced from that same master HD master cut to 720×576 SD that was put out by Network about 5-6 years ago? Via Vision Entertainment is now releasing it for the Australian market on Blu-ray but I'm not sure if it's the same HD master as the Network version that they are using? They sell worldwide and are the next closest DVD selling site to Network. Search VVE under "UKTV" and "Comedy". You'll be surprised. The VVE version has even more extras on it.

Talking Pictures TV on the other side still airs the original ITV version. Prior to Rewind TV's launch, TPTV ends up having multiple requests from the fans to also show the ''Down Under'' series.

Looking forward to you coming to Freeview, i hope there is room for you to grow along with the other classic tv channels, namely TPTV and That's TV, I have had enough of reality tv, game shows, 'politically correct' dramas, it's sad that I and many others have to look to the past to find good tv

TV channels pay to be listed on platforms. Advertisers pay per 1,000 viewers so to be listed on more platforms increases the income for the channel. Freeview has less capacity but more users so to get on the platform it is more expensive but would result in higher income. Sky is the best value to launch because Virgin and Freeview get their feed from the satellite so you would launch it on Sky first because the channel will be on the satellite and Sky has more users.

Great show, but it has been shown several times recently on That's TV - Would be good to see the likes of the Michael Aspull or Clive James chat shows - Always supportive of new channels that focus on Classic TV, as long as it's not just showing stuff that's regularly repeated...

@@christopherp.hitchens3902 I can hardly believe that you have never heard of this tv superstar. At his height, pub landlords complained that everyone stayed in on a Sunday night to watch Hancock's Half Hour rather than go out, therefore depriving them of custom. From 1954 to 1959 on radio and from 1956 to 1963 on tv, he was the biggest name in comedy, peaking in 1961 with the BBC series of Hancock. His radio shows are still heard weekly on BBC4 Extra and are still as brilliant as ever. His supporting casts on both tv and radio and the writing by Alan Simpson and Ray Galton, who also wrote Steptoe and Son, remains unsurpassed. Seriously, he deserves to be checked out.
