Hey Em, just saw your cafe kitchen curtain question on GOOGLE NEWS BORED PANDA‼️I'm not on Tik Tok, Reddit so I hoped to catch you here. Just went through the same dilemma, wanted to share 2 thoughts: TOP DOWN SHADES, my favorite!! I read your kitchen needs 'reach help' like a wand , motorization ( 🤔) and though I would put those shades on every window you have sight unseen, as those shades can give full coverage AND beautiful blue skies ala cafe style. My problem was my shade too close to the sink and got spattered. I also have two cute patterned panels that were on top and bottom rods with pull backs on each. Why so much on the window! I have lived on acreage but now I live in a lovely 1st floor fishbowl sidewalk within feet of that window😳. I'm not always coiffed 1st pass at the sink, y'know💁🏼‍♀️? So top down shades in Fabo colors, light pass-ability your choice! From manipulating my kitchen shade one of the guide lines broke rendering the shade unmovable. Recently I tried resurrecting it from it's still in place housing but too cumbersome with the panels. Final happy solution: tuck up the top down until the whole unit can come down, no rush it blends, one rail, curtain held 'neat' with expended 'C' batteries in the hem for weight and straight ( my light passing but heavier print fabric hides the weights.) Pulled closed at night, gloriously open just right daytime and panels can be closed while the window is open for privacy and fresh air. Battery weights keep the flapping ends away from my faucet😎. I purchased an Emily Henderson rug, definitely not the best quality, there is a big 3 inch gap in my rug missing some weaving. Definitely not ordering from them or referring. I will be contacting Rugs USA next. Rug is much prettier online. I got fooled into believing her name meant quality.
