Grounded in grandeur, the Saint Moritz Apartments are a prime candidate for Australia's most luxurious apartment complex.

I'm in awe of this project. Never have I seen a building that's designed to interact with people. What a great idea.

Even if we are few compared to the viewers of The Local Project channel I would love to see more of these releases around events. Brilliant work on both of your channels! You have had quite an impact on our latest house project :)

The first time I saw the Eames lounge chair, I immediately began crying and throwing up and pissing and shitting myself. While I do not believe my mortal body can survive sitting in it, I have made arrangements to be buried with one. Perhaps, just perhaps, you can take it with you.

This is not at all a historic Irish bar. It is a very recent fit out of an old building so that it looks like an Irish bar. Everything you see, except the stone walls, is brand new.

I get that Australia is a few decades behind the rest of the world in sustainable building (this one being a great example of mid 70's passive solar pseudoscience) but it is absolutely ridiculous to claim that a glass, concrete, and metal monstrosity is somehow "carbon neutral" full stop, or even close to carbon neutral in operation. You guys cover some beautiful buildings but this level of greenwashing is shameful!

All great ideas and looks fantastic. However, if I’m being devils advocate: what was the building built out of? I’m assuming concrete? To truely be sustainable designers need to think about the embodied carbon of a project and begin to use materials such as CLT (cross laminated timber) for the shells of apartment blocks this size. Even ‘green’ concrete (which isn’t readily used in Australia) has an enormous carbon footprint. Just something to think about for future builds

Another interesting feature in The Commercial Project series. What a location. And how well the building blends into its surroundings. Dovetails superbly with the existing buildings and Sydney surburb. Yes, aimed at the Luxury market yet works. Thank you for the insight.

cute terraces but when they say that the building isn't imposing, i don't quite believe them. the trees should be taller than the apartment complex. hopefully in a few years that'll be the case =]

I like the curved spaces and the color of the brickwork but I think it actually sticks out rather than blends into the landscape. It's more of an industrial, late 19th century, look with black frames and red brick than something organic - limestone or local rock would've been more of blending in. It doesn't detract from the building in any way - its gorgeous. I love the views and I like that kitchen. I don't love those black railings - they block some of the gorgeous city and water views.

Absolutely love the red brick work very Aussie, old fashioned Sydney side colour, yet new expression with the gorgeous brick walls. Love the courtyard with the curved walks and greenery. Also the curved apartments sit well in the Harbourside peninsula.

Just throw a whole bunch of architectural jargon at it and she'll be fine. The building looks outdated already and no it does not sit well in its context, its a brick jungle. To me, it looks no different to the existing housing blocks nearby.
