Even though I'm sure nobody is still watching these comments after 4 years, I have to tell you, you're the first person whose content I've watched from start to finish. It's usually all a blur, and I can never finish a whole video. But I watched yours from start to finish. Bravo! Good video, thank you. 52 and learning again 30 years later.

I have played this song at least 3 times a day for the last 2 weeks, i know a few people battling addictions, or just poor habits, and think that "how did you get the way that you are" but then i realize i have not even asked myself that question.. great song. Love your music. Keep it real

Hey there, thanks so much for listening. I appreciate you letting my song into your life. I remember writing it in a small town in South Carolina while "on tour" playing little breweries and backyards... That was probably 7 or 8 years ago. I am happy it's still out there, reaching people.

Would you recommend fisherman's pickups for a mandolin?
@jemmermusic5 ай бұрын
I've never used a Fishman for mandolin... I recommend a K&K Mandolin Twin + an LR Baggs Venue DI... you will get great, useable tone, in every venue, every time. You've got to learn to use the DI/EQ though. Blending it with a mic whenever possible is also good, but the K&K does a decent job on it's own.
@Steven-u5w5 ай бұрын
Yes I can relate to the chord shapes. I was looking the other week and I was really surprised how much you can carry over from acoustic guitar to mandolin and also banjo. I'm thinking of buying birth and mandolin and a banjo
