The Game Boy excelled at quick pick-up-and-play puzzle games. It’s amazing how many interesting mechanics could be implemented on a tiny low resolution screen with primitive graphics and two buttons.

Treasures in particular is a truly awesome 2D parkour game sort of metroidvania. Very good choice!

Thank you. Crushed 3D in indeed one of the best puzzles I've ever seen. Just discovered it last week, and the Scribblenauts series looks to be good for beginning foreign language learning. I am very surprised to see that you do not have Myst in your collection. All the Cyan games are just worlds where the whole world is a puzzle. You can't die or get stuck. However, word of warning.. the 2DS version is superior to the 3DS version according to reviews. Both versions play completely in 2D but the control system on the 3DS is frustrating and reading the books is difficult due to the 3D screen resolution. The 2DS version uses the pencil with the touch screen and is better. Look for Myst, Riven (the hardest), Myst Exile, and all the subsequent stories; but the first three I've named, I know to be on game systems though they usually are on optical disc which is why you won't see them on ROM based games. For Myst, there is even a realtime version which runs in 3D like Quake. Recommended if you can get them (All Cyan games are on Steam, and you can even use VR for Obduction, which is not part of the Myst series.) Now if only Devil Dice would be ported to any other console than the PS1.. Very very unique mechanic.
