Someone with training once told me to approach at a straight angle instead of a curved angle for a more balanced takeoff. A straight approach helps keep your weight evenly distributed and ensures proper alignment, minimizing unnecessary rotational forces and maximizing power transfer.

knee to knee and half squat is the best way to teach two foot jump technique then it’s preference with heel to toe jumping or toe to heal
@SkighAthletics
@SkighAthletics 16 күн бұрын
@@spazzinoffdabak Actually, half “squat” jumpers are speed jumpers and there are athletes (like myself) that have a deeper “squat” when they jump and those are power jumpers so that’s not necessarily something you can teach because it varies for everyone. Landing heel to toe with your plant foot is what I normally suggest and I’m not sure what toe to heel would even look like to be honest!

I was 5’7”- 5’9” from freshman to senior in high school and could dunk( 2 handed). The trick is get a “quick” take off and have strong legs. Great video bro. I also did most of these exercises, it also helped with jump kicks in taekwondo 😊
