Where was the solenoid flow restirctor set at on the DSR
@BonusBaller5856 күн бұрын
It was in the middle. Medium dwell.

I'm not super sold on the oil through the asa. That worked ok on mechanical sear/blowback markers in the 90s. Seems like it would just wash the dow33 grease off your orings in the reg and solenoid. Possibly make a tacky mess that attracts dirt in these parts. You can service the solenoid spool on newer markers so it's not a big deal. On something you can't, no way. Dow33 is a base of oil, yes, but thickened to make a grease. So it stays on the orings longer.
@BonusBaller5856 күн бұрын
First of all, not once did I say you should use oil drops in the ASA over what the manufacturer recommends for maintenance. If you don't like it, then don't do it to your equipment. Secondly, I knew people would complain about if I had lubed the markers or not, so the most fair chance I could give them was to add five oil drops in the ASA and blow it through each marker with 100 dry shots. Regardless of lubrication condition before the test they all got five drops and 100 shots. I'm just reporting on what I did before the test, not how to maintain paintball equipment long term.

What does the oil in the Asa do, and is it recommend for pe markers
@BonusBaller5857 күн бұрын
It's a quick way to circulate oil throughout the marker's internals but I do not recommend doing it in lieu of regular maintenance.

Don’t play much in the cold, last time I used a DP G5 and it shot hot. It had a lot to do with the lube. Dow 35 (and it’s related) does not seem to work well in the cold temps.

Great vid. Love the edit. Also the Idol eye fault may just be due to the bright sun, and the feed tube just having a clear tube stuck in. It was probably flooding the breech sensor and not "seeing" a ball.

I just tried this out and you're 100% right. I pointed the feed neck toward the sun, got a solenoid click, covered the feed neck with my hand, no click. Never thought that would be the case. 👍

It's loud because that bolt runs at a higher pressure than the stock bolt that was intended to be in the marker. DLX did their homework, try to borrow someone's stock bolt setup and have your mind blown on how smooth the gun could be with stock orings. And by switching you will gain another 5-10fps over the modded dren bolt, aka lower the pressure more and gain even more efficiency 👍🏼

Clean the glue off both thread sections. Then add a lil blue loctite to the threads and reinstall. Let dry and then the whole thing should come out easy peasy!
@BonusBaller5855 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. That was actually the second thing I was going to try. The first thing I did was I warmed up the outside area of the barrel threads and I was able to spin it off by hand with a strap wrench for grip. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be at the time I made the video.

When I was toying around with anodizing in my kitchen on broken guns, at the beginning I had similar results as shown here. So, I can tell from my experience, this one is bad, even for my kitchen standards 😅. And yes, you can change tolerances. If you prep aluminum, the first step can eat way too much metal, and even the new / fresh anodized layer won't save it anymore. And about polishing anodized parts, the anodized layer is so thin that you can't do much to polish it, or else the raw aluminum will say "hello" to you, and you can throw the part into the garbage.

you crono the gun at 300fps. Up here in NH last time I went the MAX was 260fps that means you need to be in the 250 area to be under the max. Back in the old days we always set to 290 295 to be under 300. Im just wondering because I feel that 250 is LAME. like you are shooting rainbows past 50 feet... And at 100 you would have to aim straight up into the air...
@bobbycorps78917 ай бұрын
That sucks, been to fields with 280fps limit and it gets to me. I understand, but imo 250 way too low.
