Great video Shaun. I have a couple of valves reading .22mm on the exhaust (.02mm over spec) and .16mm on the intake (.01mm over spec). The bike has a little over 12k miles on it, with maybe 500 being track miles. It'll be my race bike for next year, so do I need to adjust it?

Or should I check it halfway through the race season to see if it closes up or gets worse?

This video is very helpful with out it i would have not done my conversion. Is it normal for the clutch lever tension to be a little stiffer than a wet clutch? I just did my streetfighter v4s and the clutch lever is stiffer. Thanks

I love your videos. I actually did the valve clearance inspection on my RSV4 a few years ago by watching your videos. It's just about that time again.

When checking clearance did you havd to loosen Cam tensioner first? Or check them with tensioner still in place?

Hi Shaun, Thank you for all those very informative videos, especially the previous one showing how to move the cassette. I also broke my sprocket bolt yesterday.. drill it, used an extractor and... the extractor broke as well. I'm screwed. I will have to remove the cassette and change the shaft I guess.. How did you manage?

Shaun, whats the reasoning behind the chrome pro for a track bike apart from just because, Is it the data logging and ability to review what your doing?
@ShaunNielsen6 ай бұрын
The best thing has been the tire pressure and temp monitor. I initially wanted to create a visual training aid to teach trail braking. It worked to an extent but not as well as I had hoped. I recently installed the AIM Solo2DL and software and its much easier to use than the i2M so its not getting much use.
@45south6 ай бұрын
@@ShaunNielsen Thanks, I was considering the Solo2Dl for similar reasons. Love your vids btw

@@ShaunNielsen Hey! I recently bought a 2024 v4s and I was looking to implement a datalogger. What would you recommend between I2M and AIM? I race on track so I'd need all the data (suspensions, brake %, throttle %, tc etc.) I can get!

Great tips for cleaning track suits. Had my Alpine Stars out this morning for my 1st ever ride in a track suit , and all went well. Now just need to have many more to break in all my new gear , Shoei full , AlpineStars boots , and Taichi gauntlets . Doing all these runs in Texas Summer 🥵 in prep. for Nate Kerns Track School . Thanks again. for sharing these care instructions. Lexol is good leather conditioner . Used that on bridles and saddles at horse racetracks.

What was the cause of the crash?
@ShaunNielsen7 ай бұрын
The rider eased off the brakes after entering the turn but then panicked and reapplied the brakes at full lean. This caused the front wheel to lose traction. Minor damage to the KTM, no injuries to the rider.

Got this working following these steps. Initially, I tried doing it without the factory reset and the units would not connect to each other. I then tried a factory reset on both units, and they connected exactly as shown in the video. To get your Packtalk into Bluetooth mode, either a) Click the intercom button (wifi logo) and phone button (phone logo) together on the headset, or b) In the Cardio app on your phone, select Intercom (2 blue helmets), then press Bluetooth at the top of the screen. When in Bluetooth mode, the headset light will slow flash blue. If it's still in Mesh mode, it will slow flash green - you want blue! After the factory reset, the G9x headset will be listed under Intercom > Bluetooth on either channel A or B (depending on which channel you pressed during connection on the G9x), but its name will be generic. You can rename this via the app. Once connected, you have to activate the connection by either a) Press the channel button on the G9x (exactly as per this video), or b) In the Cardio Packtalk Bold app, under Intercom > Bluetooth, press the channel the G9x has been saved saved to (either A or B). For me, the intercom audio strength between the two heads is strong with good line of sight distance of 500m+. Connection between these two heads work very well.
