Many of the other videos about parrying just say "you really need to work on the timing" but you actually broke it down frame by frame which was amazing. Turns out I've been pressing/holding the parry button down for way too long and I guess sometimes I've just lucked out! I'm excited to get home and give it a try in the trials (I didn't even think to practice there)! I especially need to work on the whip dude as his timings always mess me up. Thanks again. I was spending HOURS trying to understand how that worked, in vain. 25 hours in the game I just could not figuring out how to do it, I thought I was just plain stupid. thanks for the video. seems odd to do a parry when they start their attack as opposed to when they're about to hit you. that's what I was trying to do.

My tip: go play Sekiro, after you are done, parrying in SM2 feels like a joke.

So you time the parry according to the BEGINNING of the enemy attack animation, and not the END of it? Most other games do it at the end. Interesting, and I look forward to getting the timing right now!

Looks to me like bad design by the Devs if you have to press parry BEFORE the blue indicator. Seems like they should have simply put Parry and Block assignable to different keys. There is NO reason the Bulwark should function differently than ALL the other classes when it comes to Parry. If the technique to play this class boils down to you memorizing attack strings and anticipating them just to get the class to function correctly, contrary to all other classes, then something is wrong here.

We are trying to find a solution for a game, that obviously have bugs animation and a very bad parry system.

I still dont understand how theres so much confusion about it. Just dont hold block. Tap it.

If you hit confirm your attacks instead of mashing and react the parry you won't have issues.

Thanks a bunch dude. I was never really frustrated with the game but I definitely felt I wasn't fully getting the parry system. Game is kinda sneakily just getting better and better as the mechanics click for me ^^

This has been of great utility in ourging the enemies of the imperium. My gratitude brother. I have also found the other class of use, to practice and learn their parry cadences.

This is SO helpful for a core mechanic that isn't explained too well in game (like a lot of things, tbh... did you know about mortal wounds? That you can heal them with a stim while at full health? (Though that isn't recommended).) As a bulwark main I have STRUGGLED with the defence mechanics to the point of frustration. The game needs some balance, I think. It's more a dodge simulator atm, less the power fantasy of being a primaris! But this video is such a good help!! Bulwark's timings are def more "off", and finicky, which is odd, considering he's a parry based class with a great big energy shield and 2 types of sword.... This is poetry to watch, though. So cathartic seeing the parries. Though even you, an "expert" miss the odd one, and in combat, when surrounded, with multiple majoris all swinging and shooting and staggering you, with dodge-only attacks mixed in, that ONE miss quickly spirals you into a stun lock damamged state.

A nice tip for survivability - when you use a stim, it gives you contested health and recovers it, meaning that if you have contested health but no enemies around (either they died or you used the banner), you can recover it by using the stim + get the normal stim healing on top.

The point early in the operation, where you were confused about why you got the gun strike, after it giving a block visual, it looked to me that it was the Minoris that caused the block, but you still got the perfect parry on the Warrior, as straight after the block there was a dulled flash of the perfect parry
