Ik a genderbent eva would not work, but man it would definitely be amazing if certain things were changed around Like the all seriousness deep dive into the reserved girl trope, a glimpse into maybe toxic masculinity more clearly this time, and damn the whole trope between gendo and shinji now as from mother to daughter would hit EVEN harder this time.

I kinda wish evangelion was more fleshed out in its casual demeanour aspects from the beginning while slowly and subtlety already giving us a glimpse at its more psychological themes earlier on instead of honestly dishing it out towards the end, something tells me if it were in another timeline it could’ve been better lol also episode 24 would be interesting
