Totally agree…that’s why now I have different tensions with different strings for different purposes… 😂 I enjoy high tension but not all games I m fit enough or capable to use high tension… and with high n low tension play to its advantages… high…more placing more explosive shots aim for line etc… low.. safer placement to middle rather then lines… lobs cross court so longer distance … more long swing smashes less stick n sudden impact smashes … 😅 … some days when I feel fit n in good condition I’ll use the high tension and hard to use racquet… great workout 😂

@imataquito005 Hi! I agree, the way you describe it is much better than any other player, to be honest, keep going ☺️👍👍🙏

@@errbadmintonrestringhehehe thanks it’s more like I have been there and done that….hence my explanation…. I was once just like any other player…30lbs feels so good so powerful so controlled… yes I was young but as I grew older with work, stress and everything else in life adding in to the toll and plus I saw some videos of myself playing and started questioning my choices 😂… yes I can play with high tension I am capable it feels good but not always and not continuously for several hours …. The shuttle speeds drops till it’s even slower than a kid 😂 when I am off my game and slices were simply not working at as high tensions needs slices to be on point for timing and power 😅… basically put everything was off when I am simply not in the physical state to use the higher tension and using lower tension and lifting high tiring the opponent and strategically make shots when opportunity comes was the better choice in that condition 😂
As my favorite string is exbolt 65. i just dont have the budget for it because after 1 session always break(tried 4 times). lucky for me there is exbolt 68 (unlike bg 65 TI which is overly thick). with tension 30, at least now it last me 2-3 weeks instead of just 1 session of game.

@watever88 Hi, really? How many do you play in a week? Just curious, but normally 65ti even national players due to them having quite a few racket swaps so at the end they can last for a month. May I know your break point? Is it hitting point too high?☺️🙏

@@errbadmintonrestring 2-3 times a week. I am known to be a heavy smash person. I would rate my consistency is okay considering most of my string broke at the sweet spot area. ah my bad, what I meant is that now I’m using exbolt68. As bg65TI string is too thick which is good for long lasting but the feeling is not as good as thinner strings like exbolt 68.
Exb68 is an epic string… hit it right and it’s like a freaking rocket… the right expression is that it’s like shooting a stone with a slingshot and the hardness gives good control… 👍🏽

Hi, I totally agree! But most people don't really like it because they think the stringbed stiffness will be like thinner strings 🙄

@@errbadmintonrestring lols… then they can’t use exb68 and enjoy the explosiveness and control….they don’t know what they are missing 😂…. 🤷🏻♂️😬
Pre-stretch is to remove part of the elasticity of new string, so the tension is more consistent throughout the lifetime of the string, but of course the lifetime of the string is reduced as it is "wasted" in the pre-stretch process.

@MKMK-rh7mw This is not the correct way of thinking. It is not consistent at all, as it gives you three different feels. If you are a beginner, you probably can't feel anything, as you don't even know the proper foundation in badminton and have inconsistent playing skills. However, for intermediate to advanced players, data shows the fact that they can't even get used to it. Pre-stretching is not the main way to remove elasticity, as it only makes the string bed stiffer for the first one to two days, and then a nightmare comes after that.

@@errbadmintonrestring I agree with what you said. However I find it puzzling that many pros pre-stretch their strings.
@errbadmintonrestring15 күн бұрын
@holnivek Hi, do you mean professional players? Actually, professional players don't need that much repulsion, and their string changing frequency is different from us casual players, so they mostly use their own body strength to generate explosive power etc. Casual players like us are different as we need to rely more on the repulsion of the stringbed to generate better shots, and we need the string to last for at least 1-2 months, so there is a misunderstanding between casual and professional players.

@@errbadmintonrestring The "3 different feelings" you felt is the nature of the string deteriorating. String bed is stiffer because the string is less elastic than non-pre stretched. And after few competitive plays, the string will lose most it elasticity and couldn't get back to shape to hold the tension, therefore u feel softer every time. You do know that the string is actually stretched in some way when the shuttle hit the string bed, which remove the string elasticity bit by bit, and reduce the tension. You can't have 28 lbs technically from pre-stretch because the machine pre-stretch it to 28 and release back to the set tension 26, and you clamp it at that tension. Set tension : 26lbs Non pre-stretch : First stage, 26lbs (very short duration, as string has highest elasticity) Second stage, drop to 25 or lower (this is the longest period) Third stage, tension going lower and lower because string starting to break Pre-stretch : First stage : 26lbs (longer duration as string already pre-stretch, this is like the second stage of the non pre-stretched). Second stage: tension going lower and lower and breaks. If you don't want pre-stretch, just string higher 1 or 2 lbs, then use the racket and hit the shuttles very hard, till it drops to the tension you like. Why most professionals pre-stretch their string? Because of tension consistency. To eliminate tension drop from first stage to second, pre-stretch will make the string go into second stage directly. And they can string their rackets before every matches, not like most casual player, only string it when it breaks. badminton-insight.com/badminton-string-tension/#:~:text=Pre%20stretching%20is%20where%20you,tension%20for%20a%20longer%20period. "What Does Pre-Stretch Mean? Pre stretching is where you tighten each string to a higher tension before tightening it to the correct tension. The idea behind this is that you remove any elasticity the string has inside of it, meaning that it will hold its tension for a longer period." You can read the above link, this page is by England national mixed double players. I have tried both pre-stretch and non pre-stretch, same string, same tension, same racket. Pre-stretch tension is more consistent, but you get very less of the "new string" feel. At the end, I just string them at 1-lbs higher because I like the "new string" feel and sound.
@MKMK-rh7mw14 күн бұрын
@@holnivek because professional they can restring their racket before every matches. They don't want to have tension drop in the middle of the matches.
