I have the Charles May OSK-1, phenomenal craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I was introduced to gene ingram too late and he passed before I could get one. Would’ve loved to compare the two

Very nice video - especially since I have the exact same watches, exact same models (though my Superocean might be a few years older) and they're also my two best & fav watches! For sure they're expansive, but if you like these kind of tools, they are "must-have's". To make this list complete, I actually would take the TagHeuer Aquaracer into the race... Great watch on NEARLY the same level, but a bit less expansive! Best wishes from Hamburg, Germany Phil :-)

I watched your video over 10 years ago (right out of college) before purchasing the breitling. Seeing this video brings me back to that to that moment and feeling years ago, very cool.

That’s awesome! Thanks for the nostalgia. I unfortunately don’t own either of these anymore. I’d love to have the current SMP.

For more than 28 years I have been wearing a fake Submariner. It still works perfectly, though it never has been serviced. It was cheap. I don't care about status, just want to know the time. The best small amount of money I ever spent.

I own 2 superoceans, 42mm and 44mm and the blue Omega seamaster and I don't know why or how you can compare them against each other because they are both beautifully built and each have there own look and feel. I think the Omega bracket is a bit more comfortable but I'm splitting hairs. They both keep better time than my Rolex ss and gold Submariner or my yaghtmaster. I love the fact that they don't look like your wearing an H1 Hummer on your wrist.

Too expensive for what a Neck Knife is, forget it.
@phildo8647 жыл бұрын
You can always belt carry it instead of around your neck. What are the top qualities you look for in a knife? What is your preferred type knife? What knife would be worth that amount of money?

your Breitling looks way better then your omega
@mindspinn31110 жыл бұрын
The Breitling was high polish, thicker and heavier. It was a nice piece, but to me the Omega was more understated and classic. I don't have either anymore, and I want another nice dive watch. There are many new models to choose from several brands, but the ultimate for me is still the Submariner ceramic bezel, black or green face I can't decide.

@mindspinn31110 жыл бұрын
***** I don't really care. The Breitling was nice, the Omega was nicer. Yeah I'd rather have a ceramic bezel Submariner or an IWC Portuguese, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money it will be on a new motorcycle, not a watch. I'm very happy with my $1500 Ball Engineer Master II.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Compared to AP and Patek yes, they're not nearly as expensive but 2,500-3 thousand IS expensive IMO...
@mindspinn31110 жыл бұрын
Dan Goldsmith Thank you. Most people would say even $1000 on a watch is insanely expensive. I don't plan on buying anything more expensive than a Rolex Submariner. I don't want or need five figure watches.

Nice collection of Benchmades and Spyderco's turbo....my fav being the orange Griptilian (hope I get one for Fathers day this weekend)....say - any worries about counterfeit knives that are starting to be more common?...
@mindspinn31110 жыл бұрын
I hate to see them, mostly because I'm a big fan of made in USA products. I know a lot of Spyderco knives are made overseas but they always have been and the Golden factory still makes knives. Anyway, the counterfeits from China do irk me. The Chinese don't think they are doing anything wrong by making blatant copies, and they will tell you the copy just as good as the real thing because in their mind it is the real thing. They don't care, or maybe don't realize, that Chris Reeve knives, for example, are made to an incredibly high quality standard. They just see Chris Reeve as a popular design and brand logo.
@nuclearmusic7710 жыл бұрын
Nice looking collection! Have you done a video of all your knives?
@JLeeCN11 жыл бұрын
Man, I've been thinking about adding some color to my knife collection lately, but after seeing a multi-color collection im glad i've stuck with my blacks, grays, and dark colors. I think I'll keep the bright colors confined to my lanyards. Good call swapping out those painted Benchmade clips though.
@mindspinn31110 жыл бұрын
I don't have most of these knives anymore. I buy very few Benchmades. Yes most of my knives are dark colors these days, but I still keep some bright ones in there, like an orange Manix 2 S30V and blue Paramilitary 2 M390. I also plan on getting more of the colored flat grind Enduras as it's one of my favorite EDC/work knives. I find people respond positively to the brightly colored handles, and I may even get a purple one.
