Rood niet op zijn plaats. Wit op strafpunt was de juiste straf. Rood was van kader veranderd met geldige stoot.

Hey mario,volgens ik kon terug vinden in het reglement staat er dat een eigen verdedigingsbal de verdedigingsdriehoek dient te verlaten na de stoot . Indien niet speelbal op strafpunt en andere bal terugplaatsen. De speelbal mag wel uit de driehoek gaan en er terug in rollen.dit was hier niet het geval.Mocht je ergens terugvinden dat dit anders is bij kaderspel mag je mij gerust een berichtje sturen gr

@@filipdesmet2183 Wat jij zegt staat idd in artikel 7. Maar eerder, bij art. 4 ('kaderspel'), staat dan weer o.a. 'Bij overtreding wordt de speelbal op het strafpunt geplaatst. Alle andere ballen blijven liggen.' Dus het is minstens voor discussie vatbaar, maar er is zeker iets voor te zeggen dat rood had moeten blijven liggen ipv op zijn eerdere plaats terug te leggen...

White's ball is a millimeter away from the pocket. Why can't he hit it in?

He can, but if he does it using another ball, there is a high possibility that the other white ball is also pot able.

First game--Is there a reason that yellow doesn't sink the his ball at the pocket? This is not the first time I've seen this--is there some rule I'm not aware of? I really wish someone would give me a link to the complete rules of this game. I cannot find anything online and I cannot figure out the logic behind these moves. That last move in the first game was idiotic. Why wouldn't red just hit his ball to the front of his own pocket and force yellow to make a defensive move that might backfire? Why on earth send yellow back to his scoring side where it could backfire--which it did.

there are certain rules. when the ball is below a line at the pocket, you cannot play the ball normal into the pocket, you need to raise the cue and do a piqué. the pockets are smal and it's not the right decission to do this kind of shot in the beginning of the match when the opponent has a direct clear shot. for your second question: you need to make that the opponent needs to do the hard shots. when you have to return to your defending pocket, you need to be sure that you are there. when you miss, he can score. in this case, the other guy was not played well.

Again, I don't understand the strategy. Last game, red's last shot--first, isn't the ball closer to yellow's ball scorable? Second, why not block yellow's hole? Neither of these guys ever use that strategy. Many of their shots have skill (although red's shot through the forest was luck--and he knew it). But many times they squander opportunities to put themselves in scoring position. And for unexplicable reasons, they leave their opponent with a scoring shot. One wonders how players like this have made it to competition level. I just started watching these games and if I couldn't beat these guys, at least I'd keep them from winning for as long as possible.

the red ball near the white is scorable but if you miss then the game is done. the pockets are not that big and the ball is against the side cushion. that makes the shot harder. normaly you would play the other red ball to the pocket to prevend scoring but the white ball player would play the red ball that's ready to score away. if he played well, red would have two balls ready the score, otherwise he would have nothing and should restart his game with 2-1 behind in balls.

@@filipdesmet2183 Thank you for responding. Understood. And I understand leaving questionable shots until a time when missing it would not jeopardize your standing. And I know the holes are small and the bumpers close. But I see opportunities in other videos that to me are incomprehensible--like leaving a ball at the edge of the pocket--I mean you could blow on it and it would go in--and then a stray ball hits it and ruins the shot. Okay, one more question. At 23:23 red's ball is near the pocket. I know it is not lined up to score. But what is everyone staring at?

They are looking if the ball is left or right of the shooting line.left means that he can score normal. Right means that he has to do a pique ( lift the cue to score) we measure this with a tool that we put against the ball. Remove the ball and put a plate with a hole in it against the tool.then we can see if the ball if legt or right of the line to score

Beginning of game 1: Again, Rousseau leaves a ball sitting at the hole and loses a chance to score. I don't understand it.

First game: Yellow ignored scoring shot at hole and after botched shot to knock it in with another ball, ended up allowing red to score. Second game: Yellow ignored his ball (near forest) in scoring position, then ended up losing the shot at the end, and consequently losing the game--stupid! I don't understand leaving scoring shots sitting--why chance losing them?

Both players flick the ball on cetain shots--push and lift the cue. Can't believe this poor technique is allowed.

What is this table called? It looks similar to 'bumper pool' in america. But looks like a bigger table and the pockets are a little different. What is the dimension of the playing surface?

It’s the same as bumperpool but u can score directly, the bumpers at the pocket are way narrower than american bumperpool

@@jordyknaller6588 It's not that you CAN score directly--you can ONLY score directly. Note that no one ever scores off a cushion or a bumper. In the US you can score via bank shot or directly.

Table is about 6 x 3 whereas in US it's about 4 x 3. Bumpers are smaller than most tables in US. There is no spotted ball--after the initial shot you can shoot whatever you like. You can't score off a cushion or bumper--only directly. Notice how they bank to get to the edge of the hole but never sink it.

@@wukong773 Thank you for that clarification. Just seems that with their degree of skill they could bank off the bumper directly opposite the hole and score, since it's a straight approach. I guess it's easier said than done.
