50 Amp but since I'm in no rush, I just tell the car to limit charging to 32 Amps. Even though I fed the outlet with copper #6 wire and spent the extra money for a commercial Hubbell Outlet, I still like a conservative approach to this. As opposed to my non-conservative outlook on things political.

What's the end game if you will quit driving vehicles that need to visit gas pumps?
@mtdirtfarmer2 жыл бұрын
Good morning, The day when even 50% of cars no longer need to visit gas pumps is a fair ways off and no one has a crystal ball that looks that far into the future. For right now, if I don't visit gas pumps, my lack of consumption means less demand for gas and if you subscribe to free market beliefs, that should make your trips less expensive. As more drivers do the same, the effect will multiply. Less drivers visiting gas pumps will mean shorter lines for those visiting the pumps. Long term, the effects will be much like lack of demand for crews hauling water for steam locomotives or lessened demand for oats to feed the horses and mules that were used for transport previously. Different and better ways of doing old things is called progress. Don't be Baldwin 2.0

Hi Lowell, that field averaged just shy of 50bpa. I have the combine set for a very clean sample and it will start to overload the cleaning shoe at around 1200 bushels per hour. If I wasn’t such a grain snob, I’m sure I could gain more capacity if I opened up the sieve a bit or just pushed the hydro lever forward and ignored the grain loss monitor 🙄. I was averaging around 5 to 5.5mph which is a little bit more than 20 acres an hour if you don’t count turning and stopping to dump.
@lowellcrabb1512 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you were there to supervise. That was some good size gravel. Will they come along and lift the tracks now?
@mtdirtfarmer2 жыл бұрын
They have been fighting with this spot all year. They bring the grade machines in and fix it, it lasts for a few days, and then the trains are put under a speed limit until they can come and fix it again. The process then repeats. This time, they are trying something different. The lifting machines have already been here, so we will see how long this fix lasts.

I was interested in knowing your feed and speed, but it's just so hard to hear what you're saying there Ed, especially once you turn the machine on. I'm pretty sure you said 1 thou per rev on the feed, but I couldn't make out what you said for speed. I could kinda hear a "40" in there somewhere, but was it 40 RPM or 140 RPM or something else? I suppose if I heard the 1 thou per rev part correctly then I can deduce the RPM from the hole depth and time to drill. So 140 RPM seems the best guess based on about a 1/2" depth and 230 second drill time. Can anyone confirm 140 there?
@mtdirtfarmer3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the audio quality. 140 RPM and a thou / rev is correct. Video not all that good either, Makes me realize how far cameras have come in the nine years since I made the video.
