That's difficult to say. Sand needs at least all wheel drive vehicle with good ground clearance. But there are some people who reduce tyre pressure and try front wheel drive sedans in sand. This is an invitation to damage the car.

The FJ looks cooler. It has personality. Looks like the Landcruiser is more comfortable but my FJ rides very nice. My complaint with the FJ is the road noise and not the best for backup visibility and the short windshield makes it hard to see overhead street lights while sitting at them.

@@4xLifeArabia Can I ask why? Just curious. Own a jeep and have been driving it for several years now, and absolutely love it. But I know and love the FJ as well, especially the aesthetics of it. But are there any specific reasons for its better performance on sand?

@sidkumar9838 I don't know for sure. It may be due to the combination of lighter weight and the IFS. Also, the gearing ratio and traction system may be. But FJ is always better than wrangler in sand and wrangler is better for rock crawling.
