Lovely shout-out to Woody Guthrie on your case! Yes, the first four notes of Carol of the Bells are the same as the traditional "Dies Irae." There's a recent 12-tone video about the history of that piece. Great performance!

Yeah, after you told me about this module I went and watched a video about it. It’s damn cool. I love that this whole track is 1 melody just slowly evolving. So nice man.

@@Dahkkloudmusic I checked out a few quantizers and asked around, but for me this one seemed perfect, and so far I'm only using one channel. We'll see how I can incorporate all 4 someday!

Thank you! I definitely feel more at home in classic quantized music than in atonal one, but I'm still exploring. But I'm really enjoying the Bard Quartet, and I've only been scratching the surface. More to come for sure!

I wish I had more space in my case haha this module looks amazing. I had a 2hp tune module but I found out from rigorous testing that they’re faulty and can’t hold “tune” at all haha.

@@Dahkkloudmusic The battle with space is always bad in modular :D There are supposedly some good 4hp quantizer modules. If nothing else, Disting can do it!

It's really fun, and makes exploring music a very different experience for me. I like how you also interact with a keyboard yourself, and want to put more of that in, but at the same time, the border between me and my music has never felt so... thin as when I'm using my synth. And if you like chaos, the Benjolin is for you :D

Man I was just looking up the benjolin. I love it! The idea of every part being connected and having to utilise all of it to create these crazy changes, it’s amazing. Haha maybe I need to pull out my old skiff and fill it up haha

@@Dahkkloudmusic I highly recommend the Benjolin. Not only can you make a lot of really crazy sounds and textures with all the internal cross-modulation (it's actually pretty tame in this patch compared to what it can do), but it's also a modulation powerhouse for other modules!

Thank you! I'm really happy with this one as well. The "bombs" (which are bass drum hits by Tymp Legio) have a TTA Zverb mode called "Dark Hall" on it, and the melody ist put through Pico DSP's Saturated Reverb.

I put the drums through a Modbap Hue, especially the lofi poti gives it that bitcrushed sound.

Thank you so much! Nothing modular (yet), since I am still pretty new to the scene. However I am starting to plan an album style collection of patches, but it will take a while until it is done. "The Red Year" from my Post Black Metal project Goht's Remains is on pretty much all streaming services, but it is musically very different.
