Yes. We know how it ends. Why not try having a conductor at a concert, put his baton down, oh, let's say about a minute before the end of the Beethoven Ninth, turn to the audience and say, "we know how it ends." Beethoven would be a little put out, I would guess.

He was actually a baritone for a loooong time:)) but then he became a dramatic tenor. it suits him better I think.. and hear:) Wrong singer.. yes wrong voice type. But many want their voice to be bigger then it is... and pump it "up" :P That`s what actually bothering.

Maybe they took the wrong singers for the wrong part. Not enough to have a good singer, it must be the right singer. I saw vids of Marius singing Bellini art songs and wasn't impressed. Then I saw his Lohengrin - wow! Whole different story - even better than his Cavardossi. That's why it's so important to pick the right repertoire. I love Wagner, but I'd destroy my voice and it wouldn't sound right, so I stay happy listening to others and stick to the Bel Canto myself.

Yeah, the city where I live:)) He`s very good but Tosca wasn`t. I wish they really sing lighter stuff and stop dragging their chest voice up that much (the sopranos) ... I don`t even hear them in the hall. Leonora, lecuvreour in a woffy lyric voice :) Zero coloraturas:)

Funny, I saw the vids of Marius singing Bellini's art songs at a recital and I was like "well, this is nice, but I'd love to hear him in something less Bel Canto and more Wagnerian"... boy was I right. Now THIS is GOOOOOD!!!! The big roles really suit him :)

Sorry ... but with all my respect I dont like his voice. He sings very well BUT, not masculine enough The tenor should have a very strong masculine voice for this role. He doesnt ... I am not comparing him to Domingo or Corelli , but he should sing it with lil more effort

So Turandot isn't a chinese princess, but a vamp babe? Wow! it's weird, but cool and sexy... I think it works, even in this poor production. The better are the singers, both of them are good looking and have great voices, I mean they are credibles in their caracters.
