If I do not care a single bit about social life or friends and go all in for the knowledge and job opportunities with 60-75k+ in the IT field, is WGU for me if I do not work and I will work after completion of education? Great video and tutorial, finally got hands on with Nessus. Although when I was doing it, following step by step with you, I got the same or similar results each time when continuing with a standard scan, credential scan and install the old FireFox version? Maybe it's just me, I'll have to start with a scratch VM and try again.

I got both. Security+ is more popular in the eyes of HR and recruiters. CySA+ prepares those heading to SOC Analyst, Junior Cybersecurity Analyst roles. My next target is to get the Cisco CyberOps Associate certification as a way to fully renew my current CompTIA certifications. Security+ is more of an entry-level certification while CySA+ is considered intermediate. If the Indeed average pay for either certification is true, then I'm quite underpaid. LMAO.

I’m trying to get into cyber security and wondering should I go through the course career IT course for foundation or just go into the cyber security course. Also should I start with the Comptia a+ course first before course careers just don’t know what route to take first coming from no IT background but looking to get into cybersecurity

The more I research the more it seems like the big Tech Companies have a severe labor shortage, but continue to make it difficult for themselves to hire employees. A college degree is slow and out dated. At 40 years old I assure you by and large the programs used now will not be the programs in 5-10 years. They want employees to fit a social structure they do not train and is more or less a random coincidence if they find their "like culture" applying. The training courses to obtain the skills they desire are scattered and not specifically designed with a clear order to take them, specific certifications to obtain, and a clearly defined goal. It's all, like most civilian life, chaos simulating order while maintaining chaos in the larger scope of project. Too many choices can lead to a blurred vision when choosing, and allows the opportunity to choose a path that did not yield the specific skills they wanted to find employees having for a specific position they wish to fill. That is my observation of this situation as I continue watching these vids for research and viewing professional courses online.

Studying for sec+ now I think cysa and sec+ compliment each other. Cysa is a much more specialized cert and makes sense to take it after security+.

Currently studying for CySA+ from my college even though I’m ultimately trying to get into GRC. But like they always say, more certs never hurt.

Get the Security+ for the generalist, and then the CySA+ if you're more focused on working SOC/IR. Cheers.

Great Comparison. I think CySA is better because it focused more on being an Analyst and hands on unlike security +. Now I think people should do Sec+ first and then CySA+. As always Great Content. ✊🏼😎

I have both so i would say you need both because Sec+ develops the basic vocabulary & knowledge of cybersec while Cysa+ builds on tht. Cysa+ is more practical and not an easy to pass cert. Unfortunately Cysa+ is not so popular with HR and tht shows how incompetent the HR is nw a days.

I will be taking security 701 in the next 5 days then after CySA+ I hope I should be done with that by end of August. Then will work on PenTest for 3-4 months. No experience though in tech, I have Google Cybersecurity already. Thank you for the video. I will checkout your practice questions

I have both certs and while they do help, cysa+ is geared more towards SOC roles however you can still use it if you want to became a security engineer or senior security analyst
