STUDY in college or University definitely helps at the moment to apply for employment and provide a better chance for have an interview but as you stated experience does surpass any college degree; hand on projects and real life experience put you ahead in the job hunting process. I absolutely agree with you point of view. My personal experience come back from last month, they offers me a job, but ask me to modify my resume to match better with the job description, the job was looking good but they did not offer benefits and was the reason I rejected, It is the second time I have to do this, at this moment I am not in an IT related job now, looking to finish my CS from TESU, and hopping to open better job opportunities with good benefits I have a family to take care and benefits are essential to me in the job hunting.
