Thanks so much, mine has never been stuck before until now! Thankfully the pressure button came out easily. How did this happen and what could be done to prevent it from happening again? I was making yogurt so used the yogurt function, which is at a very low warm temperature.

I tied a string around it and pulled the pin up but it won't come out all the way. Pot will turn with a lot of force but we still can't open it, stew is inside. ☹️

Our Instapot was locked for several days, the little lock pin in the hole was loose but didn't release until I realized that gravity was holding it down. Took it outside (in case of liquid still being inside) and flipped the whole thing upside-down. Voila! Gravity made the pin drop and unlocked the lid. I cleaned the pin and the hole so it slides easily and so far it's working great again.

I used foe plant wire worked in a heartbeat. It's just thick enough to really grab on. But you're still able to tie it around. And you'll pull it right out.

Thanks for giving me a clue-however I could not remove the piece but the lid released by my just lifting it while trying to remove. I started to get worried my corned beef was stuck forever-$13+bucks worth. It’s yummy😋. Thanks again❤

Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.
