Hey I have the same car and I hate the rev hang does a tune help with it ?
@jakeadams38894 жыл бұрын
Michael Perry the tune won’t do a lo for that. I went with a stage 2 clutch kit. The single mass flywheel gets rid of a lot of it
@michaelperry24014 жыл бұрын
Jake Adams I guess I’m screwed cuz my car has 33k on it not trying to replace the clucth that soon does a tune help a little tho because it seems like when the cars still cold like the first 1 - 2 shift it drops like a rock or above 3k seems to help a little in general it’s such a inconsistent car to shift but that’s why I thought I could be software related how much did the flywheel improve the rev hang also if you have any advice about the car in general I’d appreciate it not much info online about the 5 speed mk6s
@jakeadams38894 жыл бұрын
Michael Perry i don’t want to say absolute answers because I could always be incorrect. But with the manual transmission, there isn’t any software update for it. It would have to be more flywheel than anything. I’m going to try higher temp fluid to see if that changes anything. But I would really recommend the burger motorsports adjustable clutch stop, and new shift linkage bushings and bracket bushings from ECS. they make it shift much smoother and more satisfying

Deciding between the USP dp, APR dp w/ free stage 2, or the CTS dp. Do you have any opinions on the USP dp w the cat? I hear alot of people don't like how they only make them catted now.
@jakeadams38896 жыл бұрын
JasonAndersen7 i got the USP dp on sale, it works great and about half the price of the APR. I don’t know enough about CTS. but you will save money if you go with a less expensive option and pay for the tune. But in my opinion a dp is just a simple pipe. No need to overspend on it
@JasonAndersen76 жыл бұрын
are you still riding on the stock clutch? how has it been holding up with all the torque?
@jakeadams38896 жыл бұрын
JasonAndersen7 it’s losing the battle. It can’t quite hold up to the torque, after a WOT run or just fast driving, i can smell a little clutch burning when I get out.
@icy30044 жыл бұрын
CTS is good. I have one. APR is the best deal if you're going straight to stage 2. If you buy apr dp, it comes with stage 2. If you get a different dp it's going to be $750 for apr stage two. No point in doing that lol. Just go right to apr unless you can catch Unitronic at a big car event.

Mighty92Yo with the track, it will drone at highway speed, but the pops and cracks on downshifts are too fun to miss out on. @williambarrineau71537 жыл бұрын
Definitely stock turbo my friend. You gotta Frankenstein this thing if you want a bigger turbo like the is38 or is20. There is only one car I know that has done it and it's pushing 450-500 wheel. It's really not practical on these things unfortunately since it doesn't come with LSD. You're better off with a GTI and doing it since lsd is a factory option. That applies to GLI as well. Until they put an LSD from factory you're looking at 5-8k of work to get it running right
