I worked here for years, right out of high school, '70's to the mid 80's. A little above average pay, every two weeks. Super great work mates, everyone got along with each other. The foremen and bosses were easy to get along with. One of the best jobs I'd ever had. If I could go back and work there all over again, I surely would. Surprising to me how many of my friends who had worked here have died, in their 50's and 60's. But I'll see them again someday.

these really are perplexing, there was most definitely something special about the class of 2010. from the untouchable to lip dubs, I have aspirations for the class of 2023 to have similar characteristics.

My big brother Kevin used to work here -- it was W.D.C.I., a cheese factory. He said it paid decent for the time ('70's / 80's), the work was very physical and it had a union. One of the best jobs he ever had and the guys were great to work with. RIP -- Dave Keller, Larry Buttars, Kevin Yeates, Joe Diaz, Rich Warren, John Durban, Henry Monzello, Jeff Follette, Marion Peterson, Chuck Miller and Richard Palazzolo. This is a very sad video.

I live right next to this factory. Please, if you do wish enter, get permission. A fine can get up to $1000. The only reason the owner doesn't want people entering, is because it is a fragile place. I have entered into this factory and the second floor is a risk. You can easily go right through the ground. There is loose water flowing around on the base of this factory and that will, if it hasn't already, soften the support holding up a portion of this building. Please be careful.

I work with Tesha's mom. She shared this video with me several months ago. Sometimes when the adults I work with don't seem to "get it" I come back to this video to look at what the student body of Springville has learned from Tesha and think about what they will teach the world about accepting people for who they are and not looking at what makes them different but instead striving to see how underneath it all we really are the same.
