I’m about to go watch this in IMAX for the anniversary! The organ incorporation makes me feel unreal. Makes the movie truly amazing

You can make stainless steal light by using a lighter material with a stainless steel laminate. If you need it to be extra durable, then yes use more stainless steel.

The Pipe Organ is the KING of all instruments and the Violin is the Queen of all instruments. A beautiful combination! This soundtrack was absolutely euphoric! I hope more film score composers in the future discover the Godly power and beauty of the Pipe Organ. It’s such a diverse instrument that so many are not aware of what all they can do musically. Hans knocked this score out of the park! Kudos to Roger Sayer.

I really do love the design that they sorted out. It felt very practical and very real. Overall, one of the things that sold the world really well was the technology. It made the world feel practical and real.

Honestly… I remember when the first version of this film in the 90’s and i couldn’t stand it.. It looked like punks in funny hairstyle ready to play the electric guyitar.. But I stumbled across the new version of dune changing the tv channel as it begun and continued to watch the entire film.. I found it exciting and very interesting.. Howver, i was so thrilled, I couldn’t wait to see it in the cinemas and was disappointed by the Hollywood strikes and delays.. however, i was so disappointed by what i saw in the cinema.. I wanted my money back and sat there for the entire film not knowing or understanding what was really going on.. the language, the Muslim prostrating, the Muslim Mahdi etc.. I didn’t understand the close relationship with the original author and his interest in Islam… however, i continued to watch it on streaming release and this is where i was able to understand what was really going on. This has now become the best film ive seen in years.. the storyline is amazing, the language, the concept of the Mahdi, the Lisan Al-gaib !!! The whole concept of the houses, atrocities, harkonnens, freman and the benergeritc plot to control others… Just wish there was document explaining how to speak this language.. true fascination !!!

3:33 He says the full-size model weighs 11 tonnes. That's actually fairly close to a real helicopter in weight, albeit more on the heavy side. A Boeing CH-47 Chinook is 11.1 tonnes.
@arctr00perecho2 ай бұрын
Right?! I instantly went to look at common military helicopter weights and yea the Ornithopter is a chunky boy haha. This does align with the director and designer's goal of making it formidable within the conditions of Arrakis. First looked at the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk which has a weight of about 6.825 tons, followed by the Chinook and the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey at 26.3 tons

What a cool movie! I was all the time searching for the right scale of the Meng models. Now I could calculate it, as it is said that the Atreides Ornithopter has a wingspan of 129 ft / 39 m. The small Meng model is in 1:230 and their large one is not in 1:72 (with 720 mm wingspan), it´s in 1:54.

@TPrange Жыл бұрын
Mogwai have long had Japanese bonus tracks. The purpose is to discourage Japanese supporters from buying import albums from overseas (which is typically cheaper than buying locally). It was never on vinyl though. I've added a link in the description for more info, too. :)
