Is there any chance that you could spend some time learning to tune your instrument before you post again? Your playing isn't bad, but that doesn't really matter when your mandolin is so badly out of tune.
@rickymurraymusic Жыл бұрын
Ha, I did tune it beforehand, although maybe I played a bit before recording. They're old strings and go out of tune quick, so I should probably change them. I sometimes don't mind a bit of out-of-tuneness as it can give it a nice chorus effect. I've just uploaded a new post. May well have been in tune at the start of the vid, then out by the end.

Great video. Brought back some good memories for me as lived in and around the Romford area between '97-'99. In 2017, I took time off work and finally went back to visit Romford to take a trip down 'memory lane' so to speak, also hoping to maybe run into a few local people I knew back in the day. Enjoyed having a wander around, etc, but unfortunately never ran into any old faces. Hope to visit again one day.

Absolutely perfect, this truely could of been a local report on Nationwide, laughed the whole way through, some real talent on show here. As an ex Eastender, we would be taken to Romford for a treat shopping day out, it seemed wonderful. Then they covered over the fountain, enclosed the shopping center, f**ked up the outdoor market, and made visiting as unpleasant as possible. I used to live nearby for a while, so I did go to some clubs, and do late night fast food runs, but now I only pop back every now and again for a bit of nostalgia, and it seems worse each visit.

moved away from Romford 24 years ago, would never move back as it's now just another overflow from London and too crowded for me. Visit occasionally for family and a quick trip down memory lane, but that's all I go for. Shame as it was a really great town when I moved away for work.

Oy mate! Raphael definitely pronounced Ray-fell and it's not just an Essexism. The family had Dutch roots, the donor of the land for the park was a Banker, the bank still exists in the City. Phone them, they answer the phone "Ray-fell's Bank", the pronunciation was apparently the family preference according to "local historians". PS Carry on, great guides and don't be shy saying that everyone knows Romford is a dump.
