Thank you for the detailed review, after careful consideration I decided on the 60ltr which is now called The Prospector, Customer service has been fantastic, I’ve spoken to Rachel from Atom Packs on a few occasions regarding a few queries I had and she was brilliant, looking forward to receiving & using the backpack.

Thanks for your kind words! If I could change one thing about my backpack, it would be the color of the hauling loop. It is currently black on a black background. If the hauling loop were a different color, like blue in my case, it would be much easier to see when needed.😊

Thanks for a great review Wolfi. I used my new Custom Mo50 recently in a ; day hike of the South Downs Way in Southern England. I performed brilliantly and the ability to prioritise my organisation of my equipment was Immediately obvious. Some other trekkers instantly recognised my Atompack and was very curious. Your review is exactly what I experienced too. Great video especially with your outdoor work. Cheers buddy

Fly fishing isn't serious fishing it's for the clowns who like whipping water into a foam just for the hell of it then by stroke of luck thy snag a fish. Such a nice river not to see boats fishing salmon back trolling

Nice video and beautiful water and countryside, some stunning looking fish! Interesting way of landing these fish by 'walking' them upriver, I assume to avoid them entering the fast water below. C&R not in play here I guess in some cases. Thank you for sharing
@wolfisfishingadventures
@wolfisfishingadventures 11 ай бұрын
Thanx. And you were absolutely right about the rapids below! Plus that there is a massive cliff blocking the way. I would much rather follow the fish 🎣 downstream. Some people C&R but it is not a must here. The rules are very strict and you are allowed to take just one fish per day. And since the salmon population is doing fine, I think thats great. Personally I almost never take more than one fish per season. I guess that’s because I do not catch so many anyway. 😅😂 And yeas I think C&R is important if the population is in danger. 👍🏻 Once again thanx for enjoying the video!!! It means a lot to me.😀

Hi, love the review. thank you. Being from Finland I'm hoping you're well placed to answer this. I'm looking for a new pack and basically narrowed it down and trying to decide whether to go a lightweight style pack - the Atom 60 is my current top pick - or a more rugged style pack, of which the Savotta Jaakari L. is my current though (maybe Fjallraven Keb). Just wondering if you've used the Savotta and have any thoughts on a comparison between the two?
@wolfisfishingadventures
@wolfisfishingadventures Жыл бұрын
Thanx 🤗 the Savotta Jaakari looks like a great backpack 🎒. Extremely durable with 10 years of warranty. It also has a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. So the choice is not an easy one. For me light weight is more important than durability 😅 and that is because of my bad knees. If you are in a good shape physically and a little extra weight is not an issue! Then the Savotta seems to be a good and durable backpack that probably will last you the rest of your life. I hope that this was helpful😊. In case you pick the Savotta, let us know what you think about it. 🎒

@@wolfisfishingadventures thank you. That’s the trade off isn’t it - a bombproof load hauler that weighs a ton, or something that’s lightweight and realistically should probably be more than big enough. The key is clearly to be like you and be clear on your priorities, and I’m still undecided about what I need to make my main priority

So the load lifters are not preventing you from rolling down the top of the bag when closing it? From what ive heard, the load lifters are limiting the amount you can reduce the bag’s size.

Dang snacks and a campfire! How long do you guys stay in the one spot? Also do you keep the fish, if not that is some poor handling being done, dragging them on the rocks.

Guideline LPXe 17 ft 12-13 rod. Airflo Skagit F.I.S.T line. Erling Holmström, who according to Håkan Norling is Mr LPXe 17′ adds; The rod is easy to load and the action is felt right down the handle and it has a real kick through the whole blank. Airflo F.I.S.T 660 grain and the new 4D MultiTip with the 18 ft / 14gr tips are one of the best combinations for long casts with this cannon of a rod. guideline.blog/2017/05/04/now-it-is-back-the-lpxe-17/

I completely forgot to mention that I only use this rod at Jockfall! It’s basically impossible to run after the salmon and therefore you have to hold it and almost drag it up to a safer place to land. It’s a bit hardcore I guess 😂. I would much rather prefer lighter gear. And I would love to fish 🎣 for steelhead one day. 😀

Great review, thanks a lot. Some questions you might be able to help: a) are the removable hip belt pockets easy to operate (esp. one-handed)? b) did you go for the bullet net as the front pocket? How does the net hold up to abrasion? c) are the side pockets deep enough or would you prefer them deeper (e.g. longer)? Thanks for your insight.
@wolfisfishingadventures
@wolfisfishingadventures 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Reto!🙋🏻‍♂️To be honest, the hip belt pocket zipper is a bit sluggish. So one handed opening might be a bit tough. Yes I went for the bulletnet and it holds up really well. No wear and tare so far. It expands a lot and I really like that. The side pockets are absolutely deep enough and I would not want dem any deeper.😀 I hope this was helpful, and thanks for reaching out to me.👌🏻👍🏻 Have a great day.😀
