I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, but I don’t think I have the hat button set up right to look around.

Yeah it's tough. I'm lucky enough to have a hotas with thumbsticks now, but I had a lot of luck playing 1946 with an xbox controller weirdly? Wouldn't be anyone's fiest choice but using steam's controller layers I could have full control of the guns, controls and complex engine management but could also use the right stick to look around completely freely. I'd recommend it honestly

Yeah, I’m unfortunately not. I can look around freely with the mouse, but it’s hard to manage the stick, key strokes, and looking around with the mouse at once. I want to see if I can get it set up that the top hat button can let me free look instead of the mouse.

Yeah, I’m using the onboard mic. I need to play around with the settings some obviously. And I’m still trying to get a better one to use instead. But hey, now you can hear me!

I definitely would look at some of these mods, they really expand the game in some incredible ways! They have a couple Pacific Theater ones (PTO), ETO, and North Africa/Mediterranean (MAW). Thanks! No idea, it’s over English airspace so it would’ve been friendly fire, the bombers weren’t firing at me at the time and the escorts weren’t in the area. It’s really strange actually. Watching the main flight from in the cockpit I didn’t feel or hear any hits.

Cockpit views are actually coming in early May! After the episodes I currently have banked run out. AnKor’s Shaders too, for a crisper graphics experience!

I agree it’s not as good as the others, even 1946. Sill, I do enjoy flying it, after fixing the key binds it has been enjoyable to fly.

@@ImperialAce97 I just found it buggy as hell. More like an unfinished DLC than a game. I also found it slightly distasteful, with RAF pilots shooting each other down in a feud. There was so much more that could have been done with it.

Yeah, I have noticed some bugs and it stutters sometimes. Oh really? I haven’t seen that. Could’ve been better, but still decent to fly.

If this was a Track Replay then that's not surprising. They're known to be flakey. Sometimes they work, sometimes you see something else entirely happen, sometimes they don't play back at all or cut off early.

You can either use a CD drive and install it or Microsoft no longer supports it so it’s considered abandonware, so you could potentially find it free online.

It’s pretty difficult, the ailerons, elevators, and rudders don’t reset like they do with a stick, you have to do it manually. My best advice is find a mouse-to-joystick program or buy an inexpensive stick. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and it’s less than $40. Very nice stick though. Hope this helps!
