If anything women’s college volleyball is the most followed women’s sport. Also they’ve been saying similar stuff about baseball for 40 years. A guy just signed a 765 million dollar contract. I don’t think the MLB is going anywhere😂

Also the MLB is watched in more markets than any other American pro league except for the NBA. Very stupid take

4:35 What a disgusting thing to say. In the past you used to have to have at least a little evidence before slandering someone. He needs to start suing people. NFL players bet on other sports all the time and nobody gives a damn. Even if Ohtani did it (Zero evidence he did) none of the bets were on baseball so who gives a damn

Giants are the past old news. It's all about San Diego now. They have stepped up. Giants are only rivals to our triple. AAA not even in the same league as us. They're in the wrong division. They belong in AAA 😁

Even if you re-seed you will end up in the same situation if the better team doesn’t win…. For example…. Had the Phillies beat the Mets we would had the 2 heavyweight division leaders in the Nlcs with star studded lineups

It’s BS is what it is. It’s just like the Lakers just paying huge find when they go over the salary cap. Shit that other teams can’t do but the leagues accept Californian teams to do because they make more money if they win.

Well I guess Baseball is ruined 😂 because Players want to play for the Dodgers, and the owners want to spend money on Great players... Baseball is over I guess everyone else just pick a diffrent sport??? If this was a different sport the giants would have been relegated to a lower league, and they would've gone away from major league baseball. SF Season Finished? Or SF Stuck in Forth Place??

Listen. Bottom line is the Dodgers are a great team even with a banged up pitching rotation. If they had a full healthy staff they would have swept the playoffs and the world series. Why all the hate comming out of MLB? The Dodgers are taking this game seriously unlike about 24 other teams. All of this negativity is misguided anger. The fans of other clubs need to question their own management for not being competative. Here's an idea, Boycot your team till the owners either sell or start spending. They're all rich is hell. No excuses. L.A. does it right!

Giants have given up on winning. They see dodgers, padres, and dbacks going for it and have decided to sit the decade out. Can't even be mad. Not even trying.

Probably one of the best discussions on the good or bad for baseball. One of the things I noticed is how much more Dodgers fans understand the situation, simply from their reporters explaining it and experiencing it, since Guggenheim took over. It is a reflection, top down, of what other ball clubs understand Guggenheim is doing. It is new thinking and other clubs, if they are smart, are learning. Remember also that the Nationals built a WS winner on deferred contracts. The Giants owners exhausted their WS stars and didn’t upgrade to new stars or farm. It’s great that Brandon Belt or other players were beloved, which is a great thing about the Giants and their alumni but your front office and broadcasters hoodwinked fans a bit. Then gave fans Yaz to build on. Great story but not a great player. Larry Baer is more interested in SF real estate and Giants fans need to call that out more than pointing at the Dodgers. The Giants are a rich team that rode fans euphoria of 3 championships way too long. And fans enjoyed pointing that out to Dodger fans each year after, until they realized it was now coming up on 10 years with nothing for them. Everyone in SF was asleep at the wheel but it is really the owners at fault. Now fans want to blame Farhan but who gave Farhan permission to spend, since he took the job. Farhan does deserve criticism but the owners can bring fences in or approve better guys than Yaz. More than any other fanbase, Giants fans had to have seen what the Dodgers were building for years. It’s time for Giants fans to get more vocal in their local media and call out the ownership group. The Giants Dodger rivalry should not have come to this. But it is not the Dodgers fault.
@terryhazama201Ай бұрын
Every single team can do this. It's all about ownership and their willingness to spend money. The Dodger ownership is a financial firm. This is their business making money. So they do their research and jump at the players worth making these moves. Snell got 52 million dollar gift " Signing Bonus" And by him taking it. He get to pocket it all. It's a bonus not part of the contract and he won't be taxed on it because he lives in Washington State that has no income tax. That being said if he wanted the whole pie he would be taxed the California tax rate and we all know how high that is. But him living in Washington and it's a bonus he avoids the California tax. By him taking the bonus he agreed to defer 60 million. It's a I scratch your back you scratch ours. But ultimately it's up to the player if he wants to do it...

Two points I want to make 1. Awards should be objective and mirror the players performance, you can't really say "because he will win multiple mvps next couple years" like that makes sense? 2. The dismissal of DH possibly winning is plain bigotry, if a player is set above others then I don't think this should be a conversation. He leads the league in WAR by almost 1 more than the second player (even with disadvantages of having negative DRS) I would agree with if for the remainder season any fielding player that is within .050 ops or 10-15 wrc+ stats of Ohtani ( or he just falls off) they should get the recognition and it'd battle of classic stats then. Until then I don't think it's even a question and we should just enjoy it until this conversation lasts.

He’s absolutely right, a DH should not win. Bryce Harper also had an injury last year and is recovering too. Harper also leading the Phillies to the best record in the MLB
@Jj-ne9wq6 ай бұрын
@@Mpatterson409If Harper comes back, and puts up decent numbers then yes he probably should win. But do we know when he’s coming back? If he doesn’t come back anytime soon, and Ohtani cant win because he’s a DH, then who? The guy that’s likely next in line is Ozuna who’s literally a DH as well. Also keep in mind Ohtani is on a Triple Crown watch. Fans just need to accept its a weak year in the NL offensively and if the MVP goes to a DH, its just one of those years.
