Alarms that are so loud the tow person will give up? Something to make it so difficult that he is caught before he can get away?

for a legitimate fact, there was a real wrecker, it was a car, that was damaged when new, dealership that sold them converted it into a wrecker, if memory serves, it was in Canada, however for probably 2 decades of my youth, it sat as a sign outside a small British repair shop in Virginia, until place closed, no idea what happened, but this one was originally legitimately used to haul in minis in to dealership that had broke down
