This was a highly requested video on the Jukebox network which is how I was able to watch this as a kid. I was always fascinated by the song and video and I am not a country music fan.

I remember years later, in the late 90s, they showed this on VH1 on that "Pop Up Video" show. I used to love that show, it was so informative, gave all the background about a video. I recently learned VH1 was one of the only stations that would show the video.

This video should have never been banned. It brought comfort to children dealing with domestic violence because they knew that at least one person understood what they were going through. It brought much needed attention to the issue of domestic violence in general and comforted many women dealing with it. I wish they would bring it back to the mainstream viewing.
