Didn't know the true history behind this song. Emotional from a unionist that lost family to the troubles. Respect 🤝

Very interesting and compelling interview. The calm humility of Brother Thierry, his natural open manner without affectation surprised me and impressed me. He seems very philosophical and interested in how best to engage with others.

now I'm certain it was you , Bruce, who i met one day at a beautiful little café in kincardine Ontario on a beautiful day. but i had to hop in my truck and drive away. 2008 ish. the lions are here! Don't worry. Time is near. Imprecatory prayer is better than death and destruction. There won't be an end to this till Yahushua returns. .

i need to talk to Bruce. i need to know where and how that at such a young age he came up with wandering where the lions are.

I always scratch my head when people talk about, what is referred to as, the religious right. I know a lot of these people, and they are as diverse in their opinions as other definable groups. Do they find politicians on the right more in line with what they believe in? Liberals do the same. Does it mean the left is monolithic, as the religious right is often described? I know of no communities in the US where someone is afraid to express a liberal opinion for fear of violence. Alternatively, when I'm with a bunch of liberals, they have group think, too. It's absolutely predictable what they are going to say. The thing with people who even think Christianity is in some way worthy of any observance, have to struggle with directives like if you have two coats, give one away. Not tax the guy with 10 coats & make him give away 5. People on the left & the right in the US all pad their life with disposable income, yes, on different kinds of padding. Seems that might be some common ground for people who aspire to be set aside in some way by a transcendent power, than the usual observations on one group has become totally unreasonable.

Beautiful. The words just cycled through my head all afternoon. What a terrible strife you folks in NI lived through. Glad things are better now but we will remember through songs like this.

The singing is phenomenal but what really struck me is the way he sits back almost suddently after the last note, as if utterly exhausted. Somehow it was entirely the right thing to do, a very honest gesture for the song’s terribly sad ending, which one can tell has affected him as much as it has us.

I love Bruce! I have since I was 10 years old, when I went to my first ever concert and saw him in concert at Massey Hall. My older brother took me. It was a memorable experience, so much so that I continued to go to Bruce's concerts over the years. I'm 62 now and I still love Bruce!

You're right I think Bruce. The actual word for God is a verb. When asked "who shall I say sent me?" the answer translates something like I am aming.

I have adored his music for years. I can't understand/comprehend how musicians can continually write great music. I have seen him numerous times in the last twenty years and have met him probably the same amount of times. I created a portrait of him some time ago, brought it to a show of his in Madison, WI, and had him autograph the painting. It is my most favorite piece of BC memorabilia I own.

42:00 Liam speaks so strongly, lovingly, respectfully of his own culture... and understandably so, and as it should be.. yet the world over (these days) "they" are making our connection and appreciation for our own personal cultures... a bad thing... sad where we are headed....
