OK, not so fast Finny. I'm the new guy with South Side Drainage Operations at the City of Colorado Springs. Thing is, the other guys haven't really been there much longer and none of us is really up to speed on operating this thing. We've got on older model, but I'm sure the basics are the same. So, we sprayed one area with the big sprayer on top the moved across the drainage pond and used the hose to spray two smaller sections. Great! Then we traveled to a different site maybe 15 minutes away, tops. When we tried to spray from the hose again everything was clogged up, nothing coming out of either option, hose or tower blaster. What did we omit? Do you need to clean out your hoses and the blaster before traveling? Wasn't particularly hot, maybe 80 degrees tops. We put 6 fifty pound bales of mulch stuff with 800 gallons of water and 25lbs of seed. HELP!!!!

Thank you for reaching out! It is important to use the shut-off valve coming off the pump and going to the hose reel in between transport and in between loads. Leaving the valve open when you are going to another job or are done at the end of the day allows all the water to run back into the tank when you wind the hose up. By closing that valve, you are trapping all the water still in the hose allowing the material to run freely when you turn the pump back on. If you need additional information, please call (800) 543-7166 to be connected with the Regional Sales Manager who covers your area.

Thank you. We took the hose connection off of the reel and found it clogged. Previously we found the pipe from the pump to big sprayer clogged. Luckily the hose itself was not clogged. (Well, the end may have been, we spent several hours trying to run a hose up it to loosen the mulch. Maybe that was just additional wasted time, because once the reel feed was unclogged the contents of the hose sprayed out easily.) At any rate, it might not hurt to add that information to your video.

Any cleaner you recommend to dissolve sticky tackifier?

Are you trying to clean the exterior of the machine? If so, then Simple Green will work in breaking down the tackifier.

The video talks about adding 11 bales of wood fiber mulch. It doesn't mention reducing this rate when using the hose. I never attempted shooting more than 8 bales of 100% wood mulch through 200' of hose on my T120 reel. Was the rate of 11 bales reduced when using the hose in this video? I have had some serious hose clogs and or very short shooting distance when I have gone any higher than the 8 bales.

I had a dream last night that I backed into a resort pool just so I could get a little closer to a beach in Maui that needed to be hydroseeded. Should I take a sabbatical or buy a bigger Finn?

How you prepare the land?
@FinnCorporation3 жыл бұрын
You clear the land of any vegetation, rocks, or other debris you don't want in your lawn. It is best to loosen the soil to 4" to 6" deep. Then shape the contour of the land for the finished result that you want, and finally rake the land so it is smooth. This method gives your new seeds the best opportunity to grow. Our ground preparation attachments are ideal for doing this type of preparation work. www.finncorp.com/ground-preparation-attachments/ Thank you for the question.

I don't know guys. A setup like this would run around $175,000 - right? Then you have to find a trustworthy, highly skilled landscaper to drive this beast around safely. Plus, this truck isn't able to plow snow - rendering it useless for half the year in the northeast and midwest. Any company looking to invest this kind of money is better off going for the CDL-version, 22 yard setup that costs around $300,000. I think you'd sell more if you manufactured a BB5 variation that can fit into the dump beds of more popular trucks like the Ford F-550.

The mbh6 on a Trailer is 175k in 2023. This setup would be 200k easy… and I’d still love to have one. The mb50 is a great machine
