How do I prepare for the test if I don’t work in a PFT lab? I’m RT but in school they don’t give you much on PFT and how to get a job in the field. How would you get experience if they won’t hire you without at credentials.

Hello. love this study guide BUT I am very confused on question 39 and 40. it appears as the same question, worded differently but the answers do not align? HELP
@JC_had_FreetimeАй бұрын
Question 39 was in regards to Moderately/severe FEV1 ranges, Question 40 is moderate "severity" ranges. All in the wording of the questions. It did throw me for a loop too, I had to look twice at the wording in each question after reading your comment.

I personally believe people go too far with care quite often. ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN!!! I've seen parents put babies with Trisomy 18 on a ventilator, with a trach, and take them home. These children spend their lives in and out of the hospital, in and out of ICU, and their parents have them sent home with so much equipment, that could have been used on someone who had more of a chance. I've seen babies born at 20 to 21 weeks, put in the NICU on the oscillatory ventilator, and they keep them alive, until they literally can't anymore. I've seen babies put on ECMO, who should have NEVER BEEN PUT ON ECMO! And what was the eventual outcome of the babies put on ECMO? THEY DIED IN THE END! It's PITIFUL what I've seen. At some point, you have to draw the line, and say, "THE BUCK STOPS HERE!" The saddest case I've seen was a Mother who prolonged their child's life for 13 years. He had Trisomy 18. She had him trached, put on a ventilator, he had a G-Tube inserted obviously, and that Mother kept flogging this child with all these efforts saying, "Oh, he's compatible with life. He's going to be fine! He's going to live to be an adult!" She had like 12 other kids. I am SERIOUS!! She spent so much effort, and eventually the child arrested, and resuscitation attempts failed, and on December 23rd, the child passed away in the hospital! WHY DO PARENTS WANT TO DO THIS?? I don't understand! At a certain point, enough has to be enough!

Thank you SO MUCH! The 1-76 questions/explanation was so very helpful y’all 🙌🤠Much more informative and helpful than the AARC SAE prep that I paid $60 for and was basically the same questions as the free exam offered on the NBRC website. Now that I’m out $60 I feel so much better prepared for my 11am exam today! THANK YALL SO MUCH 🙌😇❤️

As a COPD specialist, I believe you should educate yourself about why people smoke !! Instead, you carelessly state, 'I have no idea,' even as it's the #1 cause of the disease! Imagine that approach in any other specialty.
