I first heard this song when I was on my spiritual journey in Minneapolis, MN. KTIS was the radio station that helped me get through some of, what I thought at that time, were the toughest times. Little did I know that the loss of our eldest child and my sister and my mother-in-law (who I loved dearly) was just around the corner. This song helped me then, and it is helping me now as I grieve the loss of my wife, Debra. Thank God for music.

I heard Christy Taylor sing this live in Concord, NH years ago. It's an emotional song and it brought her to tears mid performance. I don't think she meant to cry in the middle but the song was bringing everyone back to where they were when God changed their lives. Everyone was remembering what they felt when they realized all that God really did give for them. I'll never forget that day.

Ray Hart visited our church when I was maybe 19 and I've never heard a more powerful rendition of "How Great Thou Art." I don't even know what happened to him. I had a couple of his records (vinyl), but they've long ago been worn out. Wish I at least had that one song on my playlist.
