Sentii Sabbatini debuttare questo ruolo al Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Bissò quest'aria e in entrambe le esecuzioni sfoderò con grande sicurezza il DO acuto, smorzandolo in modo sublime. La voce è scura e stranamente ampia anche nella parte centrale, con inflessioni quasi baritonali. Quella fu la sera in cui, meritatamente, decollo la sua grande carriera.

Una perla!!!!!!!!! La migliore esecuzione mai sentita in assoluto!!!!!!!! Il diminuendo, va oltre il grande Distefano. C'è da inchinarsi dinnanzi a tanta bellezza e perfezione. Incredibile cosa ha fatto, pazzesco🙏👍

One of the best renditions of the aria with the vocalism and thoughtfulness it deserves! Almost every great tenor has done it beginning with Bjoerling,DiStefano and Gedda being the gold standards.
