Did you end up putting the replacement case on the key? Also, does the link you provided a year ago still go to what looks like the same key fob you originally linked? Reviews look bad and doesn't have the ford logo in the back like the one you show in the video.

The notorious cat delete tune, AKA 2step, AKA launch control. I have seen a few cars with the two step/ launch control tune blow their catalytic converter guts into molten blobs of precious metal shotgun blasted from the tailpipes. The 2step/launch control tune concussion shock waves reeks havoc on your turbos exhaust side as well. Just MHO, just be smart and protect your stuff.👍

Idiot! The field effect transistor cannot be fully checked with a cheap multimeter !!! What you demonstrated confirms your technical stupidity and ignorance. Change the polarity of the probes when measuring with a multimeter - removing the charge from the transistor gate ..... and a short circuit will disappear between the source and drain! Stupid!!! Don't make fake videos...

My car was running perfectly yesterday, but when I wen to start today, it won't even start. I have a 30BA fault. Maybe multiple MOSFET failure? What do you think?

You mentioned having it done at a TV repair shop..... im going thru something very similar to this.... I live in rural east texas so im an hour from the closest bmw dealership..... so trying to fix mine from home ...... ive replaced my injectors and my coils and plugs.... and im still getting that injector 4-6 dme internal failure code....Im gonna order some of the mosfets from boost monkey and I found a cell phone repair place in town said he he could do it....... my question for you is........ should I just go ahead and order all 6 and have him do them all at once?? Any advice will help. Thanks bro!

Im sorry to comment again. I found this site ( bimmerguide.de/msd80-30ba-30bb-fehler-reparieren/ german) who recommend replacing the mosfets with better ones like www.digikey.ch/product-detail/de/vishay-siliconix/SIHB30N60E-GE3/SIHB30N60E-GE3-ND/2813599 (rated 600V, as you can messure UC up to 380V, OEM mosfets are rated 250V). Messurements you can see here: bimmerprofs.com/ignition-coils-episode-2/ . Alternatively an option: Adding snubbers like described on bimmerprofs. They also recommend messuring the marked resistors (0.05 Ohm). Maybe this helps someone, i find it interesting.

Changed all six mosfets, ran good for a week, then 30BA again. Mosfets are good still

Hey did you get stuttering on part throttle? I've been getting the stutter, shutter, surge symptoms for about a week on part throttle only between 1500-2000 rpm. Swapped injectors, coils and replaced plugs. Problem still there but no codes. Floored the gas in 2nd gear today. As it shifted to 3rd, the car loss power and went into limp mode shaking violently. Pulled codes combustion misfire cylinder 1, 2, 3, fuel mixture plausibility-29f1, mixture control-2a2b and 30ba, dme injectors 1, 2, 3 or dme internal fault. I'm pretty sure it's mosfets. Just hoping nothing else wrong. Hopefully, I can text dme tomorrow.

Did you have any codes for the misfire ? I'm having an issue on my 335i n54 with msd80 , full bolt on jb4 with mhd back end flash . The car will sometimes sputter slightly once or twice on startup and then idle fine very smooth but between 2500-3500 rpm it's getting a sputter almost a slight misfire . I have all brand new coils and plugs , new high pressure pump , new index 12 injectors , recent (5000 miles ) valve cleaning , but I can't get rid of this misfire / loss of power but no codes

Thank U! Fast delivery to Norway. Installed muffler delete today and it sounds awesome. Good quality and easy to install but it is a hell to loosen old bolts and clamps. Expect a lot of work on dismantling if you do not have a pro garage with compressor tools. Anyway it is definitely worth it when the work is done and you start up :)) Recommended !!
