Great depth even with the EMI, Guy, something we hadn't thought about per coil size, although we'd had no trouble under high voltage lines, testing running multi frequency vs selected frequencies, needn't have bothered with the Equinox, but did pump it if the chatter got too much, or drop the sensitivity down a couple of notches only. Feed for thinking over, it's for the Manticore as well as Equinox range? We'll await further adventures with the Mythtek18, the favourite past places, and the new that occur to you, cheers.

Can you run through your setting on the night hunt as your detector was chatting like😮 a chook, type them up here would be fine , was the chatting from the coil or what sensitivity winded up to full. Sharing setting is also very helpful for those that are just starting out. Cheers

Hi Guy, how do you think the m9 would go searching for gold nuggets and specimens in a trashy goldfield.
@thegoldrushguy4 ай бұрын
To be honest I’m not a fan of using coin and relic machines for gold. The performance difference is massive and prefer to work through the trash with a gold machine. I have found tiny pieces of metal at depth with the M9, which might suggest it might be OK

Nice one Guy. Glad the Bluetti did well. Nice going with the M9. Pinged a couple of silvers 😁👍
@gabivalla62794 ай бұрын
Good info, Guy. Depth plus discrimination in a lighter but larger coil. The night hunt in the dog-walking park you refer back many years looked very like your first KZbin videos, the consequence of having binged them all, might say GemQ1, but zoom-in was much clearer in comparison! Looking forward already to journeys closer to home, the histories seem rediscovered with each advance in detector capabilities, and the possibilities for the 75% of the gold that hasn't been found yet. Any lucky encounter of fresh fire-break cutting, roadworks grading or bulldozer action - the areas covered by the foresty companies, ones that need an application form for access, have you had that experience and accessed any interesting grounds that way? It's an approach we're thinking about, having seen old workings among a Gippy plantation some time ago, looking over places we'd been, but now with more accurate historical information than found in ancient local library community project history folios, full of errors! Ground proofing is far more satisfying. Cheers, Gabi

Appreciate the final weigh-in, Guy, after the huge trip, looking all shiny too. Had a laugh that you'd tested the accuracy of a conversion table with a full nugget, for testing purity, using specific gravity. We'll have to await longer between episodes, we've been spoilt with this adventure, though I'm sure you'll be searching again soon for ideal geology for gold or even gems, GemQ1, and an itch to share these! Maybe just closer to home, but I won't assume! Cheers and thanks again! Gabi of Narre Warren, just under the Dandenong Ranges.
