Don't you think a brute would be better for this build, to avoid the risk of being one-shot through plain bad luck? Being able to move continuously from fight to fight is also good for brutes, although I think that would require a good supply of green inspirations in this case. My speedster scrapper in CoH is a dark/electric/SS. Flurry, Shadow Maul, and Sands of Mu make for a comic book style speedster "flurry of fists" attack chain, and electric helps with the "flash" visual theme. It also has a movement & attack speed power and an endurance reduction power much like super reflexes. Dark does not do as fast damage as claws or savage melee, but on the bright side, the life drain prevents some downtime.

Sentinel is a very nice beginner class. Reasonable survivability and ranged attacks for more overview of what is going on compared to melee.

Still have my original box set that came with the concept art book and pewter figurine. Loved this game but it was so expensivve to pay monthly back then.

Storm/Marine or Marine/Storm is a new fun alternative to Storm/Storm on Homecoming. Freaking AOE beast that can melt rooms in seconds. Really expensive to slot though.

Storm/Storm sounds fun. When playing PBAOE types, I liked to turn up the number of enemies, even if it meant turning down the difficulty level a bit. Also good for teaming with blasters (not so much tanks and scrappers, who hate their opponents being thrown across the room).
