I was so scared of changing it for the first time.coz l had heard so many different things. That the septum was difficult change. But it was easier than l thought. Leading up l was panicking like a mad woman…literally 🤣. My method was using a tiny bit of ( Vaseline - petroleum jelly ) and feeling around the sweet spot area - Then Nose hoop just smoothly went in and clicked it down. I’ve not had any issues at tall. Another small tip try to stay calm & relaxed. Don’t rush yourselfs as it’s so to go into panic mode. So had to switch to Titanium Nose Clicker. I personally prefer the nose clicker ring - (especially if you are new to changing). As it’s easier to guide in & you don’t have the small balls to worry about

I'm maybe getting a septum for my 18th next month so I'm doing my research hehe. ALSO getting my actual ears pierced as well. Im just sort of scared cause i have like year round allergies my nose is always running or is stuffy or something and I hope it doesn't interfere with it :( I really want a ring septum

Another good tip for finding the piercing hole that really helped me: Get yourself an insertion taper! I got one for internally threaded jewelry. Basically unscrew the ball on the septum horseshoe, then screw the insertion taper onto the horseshoe. Then just pull through until the jewelry is out and the taper is in there. Then unscrew the jewelry from the taper. Screw the new jewelry on and pull it back through! Then there is no "finding the hole" it makes it so much easier! The first time I had to take out my septum jewelry did not go well. I couldn't unscrew the ball, and didn't have gloves to get a better grip. I tried to use pliers but I turned the ball the wrong way and stripped the threads and ruined my anodized titanium horseshoe 😭

the first time i changed my septum , it took about 31,000 tries but when i downsized i mastered changing it under 5 minutes

That is not 4c or 4b hair. 4c hair is a bunch of small really tight coils, 4b hair is Z shaped coils. Your hair has big curls, it’s just dry. Put gel on a strand of your hair while it’s soaking wet and you’ll see that it’s type 3

Those came in a 2 pack set because those are actually for your lip. Most Septum rings are 16G, 14G is the next size up but that’s not a big deal you can use either one. Wearing latex/rubber gloves helps grip the ball (😂 you showed the glove as I was typing this)
