The cute fly has fear from death.They buzzing for bee free. So they save theirself.They can buzzing without fly.Very interesting.!

The swifts here (Norfolk, UK) have been doing the same thing (although still on eggs). I have measured low 30C's until the sun moves round these last couple of days, Not as bad as last year though when it hit 40C for several days. Thankfully, they came through that without a problem.

These birds never cease to amaze me. And also renewed my optimism for them nesting in the boxes to the rear of our property, given we have a gazebo fairly close (about 3m away)

It is just stupid to say that they need 5 meters to the ground so that they can land. New potential nest box owners inform themselves on google and just wont put any nest box up in the end because their spot is ,to low'. Same for me, glad i still did it anyway in may, now have the first swifts flying at the entrances, even tho there is a terrace 3 meters below, no problem for these masters.
