Good on you brother. Copywriting + Design will make you lethal and rare. Don’t sweat your sales. Keep mastering the basics. I got lucky learning design fundamentals early on. I actually love that most “gurus” tell their listeners they don’t need to learn design because it gives guys like me a massive edge and boy do I leverage it. They don’t realize that if someone jumps on your sales page and gets even the slightest whiff that this may be a scam, they bounce right the hell off. People buy with their eyes, not just their ears. Dating works the same way 😂

Learning the design side has been awesome. It's just better to look at it from a more complete approach rather than copy vs. design

People get pissed when they don't hit 10k/mo in 69 days. You do realize that most people go to school for 14 years ONLY to go to college for 4 years ONLY to get a piece of paper ONLY to work a job for someone else for 40 years straight ONLY to die in mediocrity anyways? Shift your perspective.

Cam, with AI like ChatGPT on the rise, the demand for generalist copywriters is diminishing. The market is shifting towards specialists who bring copywriting as a soft skill to more focused areas. Instead of positioning yourself purely as a copywriter, consider rebranding yourself in a niche role where your copywriting expertise adds unique value (not just "I make you money"). For example: - Lead Conversion Specialist who optimizes copy to turn prospects into customers. - or an Email Marketer who crafts compelling email chains and newsletters that drive engagement. - or a Sales Funnel Marketer who designs and writes high-converting sales pages. - or a Social Media Advertiser who creates persuasive ad copy for platforms like Facebook and Instagram. - or a Ghost Writer for Thought Leaders who develops impactful video scripts and articles. - or a Content Creator who produces ghostwritten blog posts that resonate with audiences. By picking a specialty, you not only become more valuable because you’re taking a daunting task off someone’s plate, but you also save them precious time, allowing them to focus on other areas of their biz while you handle (what they consider) the more boring yet essential areas. Hope I'm making sense.

Literally the most straight forward advice anyone could get. I'm guilty of shiny object syndrome as well, so this hits home. Well done sir. Focus on being relentless in one thing and one thing only

We're all guilty of this stuff. It's hard man, there wouldn't be any advice if focusing was easy, just gotta keep at it. Thanks for the kind words my friend

Dopamine is the motivation chemical. Every action you've ever taken is because of dopamine. You'd willingly starve to death without it. By taking a dopamine detox, all you're doing is freeing yourself from cheap dopamine. All you need to understand is that over a long-enough period of time, this raises your dopamine baseline. Which means you have MORE drive as a default, all day, every day. But this only works if you make lasting changes for at least a few months. If you do it for a few days, it won't make much of a difference.

I like it. Tired of these hype gurus teaching the law of attraction... The law of discipline, hard work, and consistency trump the law of attraction, manifestation, and visualization any day. - Put your faith in Jesus and throw away any law of attraction bull crap. - Develop a daily routine that energizes you and commit to no zero days. - Focus 80% of your time working/doing and ONLY 20% of your time thinking/ideating. - Focus on ONE stream of income that makes you money and DON'T diversify. - Create ONE monetary yearly target (i.e. make 100K by 2025) and create goals that support it. - Simplify or Eliminate anything and anyone getting in the way of you achieving that goal. - Create values/principles to live by daily that counteract your weaknesses. Mine are: 1. Focus on the objective - Eliminate distractions and get ready for action. 2. Don’t think, just do - Leap before you look, take action now and reflect later. 3. Take the bull by the horns - Put your nose to the grindstone and attack your tasks head on. 4. Pause for the cause - Take power breaks. Catch your breath. Get energized. 5. Attitude of gratitude - Keep your chin up, stay positive, stay motived. 6. Roll with the punches - Stay flexible, adapt, and don't sweat the small things. 7. Stay the course - Keep your eye on the ball, don’t look back, move forward. 8. Seize the day boys - If you win the day you win the weeks, the months, years, and a life worth living. - Daily reminders: "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't want to work hard" "Where motivation ends, Discipline begins because your goals don't care how you're feeling" "Live for now by taking life one day at a time, one step at a time."

It's great to see likeminded people talk about how it is insane putting in the work after a 9-5. Thanks for highlighting the brutal truth of quality over quantity when it comes to putting in the work, and how 1 hour of deep work > 5 hours of stress induced pressure half assery, lol. cheers.

Hey Cam, I just wanted to thank you for the motivation. Since the pandemic I have been working from home and got really isolated. I went from ~175lbs - >300lbs. I have been walking every day for the last 1.5 months, about 4-6 miles per day, and have lost 25 lbs. Still about 100 or so to go, but I know I can get back there. Thanks again, I was in a real bad place.
