Envision this; The year is 1975, as kid watching these re-runs seeing this intro, and not quite understanding the correlation of photographing a cigarette ash tray with a kaleidoscope effect to it. Why a cigarette ash tray? Because grandmother had this ultra fancy lead crystal/glass ash tray that looked like it was encrusted with sparkly large gemstones.

The Season 3 finale, at least as I've seen it on FETV, has this opening but with the Season 3 theme.

I've been watching Ozzie and Harriet on dvd and I noticed the Donna Reed theme playing sporadically in the 6th season. Had to come to KZbin to see about it.

Were these scenes shot at the same time as the opening ones? Paramount should have made a deal with General Foods. Some of the products advertised on the series are still around. Perhaps a tie-in now would have meant restoring these closing scenes on the DVD sets.

It would be nice if those closing scenes still got used. Suppose General Foods made a deal for sponsoring the reruns. Ditto for a promotion with the DVD sets. But General Foods products plugged during the series' original run are no longer around.

One of my favorite episode!!!!! They took Gomer Pyle off ME-TV, to put on The Beverly Hillbillie's!!!!!! Just terrible!!!!!! Put it back on, it was my comfort, after work!!!!!!!

I loved Gunsmoke. But every series has its clunkers. "Arizona Midnight" holds the title.

What was this on?!?! I never heard of it (sigh, this was just at the end of the TV Guide era. I know I wasn't the only person who'd take the newest - next week - issue, go through it, and make notes/reminders of what to watch.) Now... too lazy to deal with even the app (and I stream). It was a smart mine to keep the original theme, just update it (I heard the alt versions. This was definitely the best of them all).

They still air this in syndication on TV land network minus the post cereals sponsor tag.

Listening to the cast members, James Komack was a king size jerk to work for. Marcia Strassman said he would pit people against each other. She thought for a long time Kaplan was out to get her which was news to him.

I'm assuming that in some cases, there must be additional red tape involved in airing or othrwise releasing old shows like this when there are obsolete ads from versions of products that are still available? However, in the case of defunct brands, and/or parent companies of those brands/products, maybe those old copyright claims don't apply?
