I've never seen rock like that and would be terrified the big sticking out bits would just break off. But it looks hella fun and hey, clips, so youre safe as houses! ;) (p.s. your belayer can see you shaking sorry man ;) I finally sent a couple of 10s today after being out hurt and sick for a long minute, felt so good to do some real climbing again!
@fffffffffff911f12 сағат бұрын
honestly i think the fear is well placed because i imagine most people do that, right by the bolt on that hold. LNT to me means treating the rock like the irreplaceable artifact that it is. also if the hold broke off and fell ur belayer might die so seriously you can never be too careful!!!☠️

Please, clearly I need it
@NathanBolton-jw5xh16 сағат бұрын
@TopRopeTom I replied, and it didn't save. No knee bars are needed, get to the juggy hold below the pockets and change your grip with your right hand to a pistol grip. Push up to the 3 finger pocket with the left hand. Bring feet to the jug and hit the big pocket with the right hand. Hit the arete with the left and your feet will cut. Set feet on and send it. Google images Nathan Bolton cowboy junkies and that is your beta.

How the hell do you come back down and retrieve all of the gear lmao?!
@dand34562 күн бұрын
his belayer will climb up after him on top belay and retrieve it along the way
@TknJnКүн бұрын
or his belayer has the sence to say "FU FUNNYMAN! that looked 'kin awful!!! i'm NOT climbing that." so one sacrificial & redundant equalised anchor later, the leader will abb/rap back down, recover as much gear as poss & proceed to the 'having' 'words' part of their belaytionship. (more complicated on a single rope if the middle marker has gone thru the belayer's plate)
